They are trying to explain to Zach that who goes up doesn't matter its the veto winner that matters and that the veto winner won't use the veto to pull someone off because they make the vote anyway. Any of the three of them has to use the veto on themsleves.

What they were saying is that if the veto winner uses it to take someone off then that person, the winner of the veto goes up.

But if Zach wins it he can pull someone off but its pointless.

The veto winner decides who is voted out.
