I've just registered for the Southern California MS ride in October ... if you haven't participated before I promise a great event. Good way to get fit and do something for others:)

Hmmm, that MS bike ride is scheduled for Oct 16 & 17 in Ventura Ca.  October 17 is also the planned start date for the Velux 5 Oceans Race which is to begin in France.  I know Phil is very special, but  I dont quite understand how he is going to be on 2 different continents on the same day....

Emmy nominations were announced this morning and it's good news for TAR & Phil!!

TAR was nominated for a total of 7 Emmys including the big 2: 

Outstanding Reality - Competition Program
TAR
American Idol
Dancing with the Stars
Project Runway
Top Chef

Outstanding Host for a Reality or Reality Competiton Program
Phil Keoghan
Ryan Seacest
Tom Bergeron
Heidi Klum
Jeff Probst

The other five nominations for TAR were:
Outstanding Cinematography for Reality Programming
Outstanding Directing for Nonfiction Programming
Outstanding Picture Editing for Reality Programming
Outstanding Sound Editing for Nonfiction Programming
Outstanding Sound Mixing for Nonfiction Programming

The fifth episode of TAR 16 was the one entered; "I Think We're Fighting the Germans. Right?"

A Celebrity Fan Helps His "Amazing Place" Paint it Black


Christchurch is hosting New Zealand's only Bledisloe Cup match this season and rugby fever is building as the city prepares to welcome thousands of fans - including a special celebrity supporter in next Saturday's expected capacity crowd.


Emmy-award winning TV host and Canterbury ambassador Phil Keoghan is bringing his entire family to the match, where the Canterbury Rugby Football Union has organised iconic Kiwi band Dragon to perform prior to the teams taking the field.
