 We’ll she likes pouring drinks on people and attacking them personally when she can’t articulate anything logical.

It is entertaining TexasLady the goal of this season raising money for charity is a great thing but I miss the initial concept of this show to find brilliant people to compete for a chance of working for Donald Trump. Mind you it’s interesting how the original show contestants might have came from the finest schools and outstanding grades yet they are not business savvy the winner really is the cream of the crop. I know someone else posted that earlier I just can’t go back to read right now but I sooooo agree with you, that’s what I miss about this season.

This show was about selecting a product from about five possiblities, all completely new ones, at QVC Headquarters, then developing an on-air presentation to sell them and giving it on-air. Hydra allowed Marilu Henner to volunteer for this. Empresario caucaused and Stephen Baldwin took his second shot at Project Manager.

The decision on product was a bit weird. If both teams wanted the same product, they could continue to negotiate or flip a coin. They both wanted a unique ladder/handtruck combination and agreed to flip which Hydra won. Emprasario was forced to take its second choice, which was a carpet sweeper with the ability to pick up an amazing range of stuff. What I found weird was that Hydra had no backup; if they had lost the flip they would have lost time deciding what their second choice was.

The next big decision was who would be the on-air spokesperson. Stephen chose Trace and Marilu chose Marilu. Hydra had a short rehearsal(a wise idea), but Stephen elected to forgo it and let Trace go live without any rehearsal. Omarosa observed that Trace appeared very nervous just before on-air time. Marilu was paired with a male QVC host and Trace with a female QVC host. Marilu went first and was frenentic. She just exuded energy, but talked way too much. Ivanka and Donald both picked that up watching the live QVC channel from their NYC office. Trace was totally calm, but he made all the selling points. Someone, probably Stephen, had asked about the QVC E-Z installment plans and discovered that the sweeper could be sold for 5 payments of $11.99 each. Nobody on Hydra picked that up at all even though Carol had sold there for 5 years and Marilu claimed experience selling her books there before. Before the show, Piers had picked on Lennox for being sleepy, but Lennox did an OK job of being the "Director" of the show from the Control Room. For Empresario, Omarosa stayed out of trouble and was as helpful as she could be, knowing that her survival would ultimately depend on that.

Back to NYC and the Boardroom. Donald contrasted the differeing on-air styles and he noted that Emprasario used the E-Z Installment Plan whereas Hydra did not. When the results were presented, Emprasario had sold 743 units at $60 and brought in $43000 while Hydra had sold 703 units at a slightly lower price and brought in slightly under $40,000. Emprasario wins, Omarosa is safe once again, and Stepehen Baldwin gets $20,000 for his mother's cancer research foundation. He says she will be thrilled. He also says he stuck his neck out now to be positioned for the end game.

There is no joy on Hydra. Carol is asked whether she knew anything about E-Z Instllment Plans and she says no. Piers and Lennox both later say that accepting that answer at face value is absurd given Carol's experience with QVC. When asked to name who they would fire, Carol said Marilu, Lennox said Marilu, and Piers said Lennox. Marilu is true to her early-season alliances and guarantees Carol will not be fired by releasing her from the final Boardroom. Lennox takes a little heat, but he knows he was not the core reaons his team lost. Piers is not certain of that(Donald mentions that Piers is sweating for the first time in the season), but his performance was OK so he should be safe. Marilu knows that she made several big mistakes and someone has to walk the plank. Without Carol there to share that risk, she herself is the only possible choice.

Marilu's bad decisions in this task were:
1. to volunteer to be Project Manager when she did not have to.
2. not finding out about QVC installment sales and integrating that briefly into her presentation
3. being verbose on-air and losing some sales by talking too much
4. letting Carol Alt off the hook for the Final Boardroom

 :-* Apskip you rock!!!

Wow, you clearly enjoy writing.

You have to be ackowledged for such impressive and well written posts.

Thank you, it’s truly a pleasure to read.

I write using the Howard Cosell school: "Tell It Like It Is" with some of the same ascerbic commentary that you know Howard would have used were he the commentator for Celebrity Apprentice, but thank you for your kind words.

I want to add something that I overlooked last night, a short exhange between Omarosa and Donald Trump that I do not have verbatim but believe I have captured the essence of:

Omarosa - It should be obvious to everything that I am a favorite of The Donald and he's going to keep me around.
Trump - Don't be too sure of that.
Omarosa - no verbal reply but a very startled look captured on her face by the camera.

Perhaps she is beginning to realize that she is the most vulnerable person still alive in the competition. Her diatribe against Piers and his family was anathema to Donald because it crossed way over the line of decency. Since associating himself closely with her would cast a bad light on him, Trump is not going to do that. He is going to get rid on her the first chance he gets. She has been very fortunate to be on winning teams for 2 weeks in a row. I am waiting for the day when she is Project Manager. It has to be coming soon.
