"The Apprentice"
apskip:
Tonight's episode had an unexpected outcome and ending. Donald Trump announced the mixing of the teams and assigned them to be Piers, Omarosa, Lennox and Carol vs. Tito, Marilu, Stephen and Trace. The task was to make the most money running 3 horse-drawn carriages in Central Park. Both teams immediately hit the phones to invite people they know to come and pay big bucks for charity. Piers had several, Carol a few, Tito a few and Omarosa none because she is only a pseudo-celebrity. Trace, Stephen, Marlu and Tito all had about the same heavy hitter contacts that they brought in. Piers was the Project Manager and he set the criteria of most dollars brought in to make sure Omarosa would fail if they lost. She could see through his strategy so they got into a cat fight in the van on the way to the starting point. She resorted to calling him and his children despicable names. Lennox and Carol were put in the position of being referees. Lennox called it tougher than being a participant in the Tyson/Lewis fight. Trace Adkins was the other Project Manager and his team was well run, harmonious and productive. Tito's girlfriend the porn star Jenna Jamison showed up as did Billy Baldwin and John Rich(a good friend of Trace). When the task was over it was not clear if enough of Piers' team's final contributors had made it in time.
The beginning of the boardroom was the shootout between Omarosa and Piers. He had a consistent, strong message that she was dirt and he could not be on the same team with her due to her calling his children names. She was pathetic in her name-calling in the boardroom. All it would have taken was a task defeat and she was gone. Unfortunately, their team won by $37K to $31K. Donald Trump had the uneviable task of firing someone from a team that functioned really well, which George acknowledged as their observer. Trump even asked for a volunteer to resign. He asked who was the weak link, but nobody volunteered anyone. Trump finally decided that noone should be fired. He also decided that Omarosa and Marilu would be switching teams.
I think this was the best boardroom decision Trump ever made.

EPISODES AND ELIMINATIONS REMAINING
After the no-elimination episode last night, we have 8 contestants alive. We are now on course for the correct counts when reaching the Final 4 and Final 2. This means I do not expect any double firings in the remaining episodes except for the Final 4 where that is a standard policy:
after Feb. 21 7 remaining
after Feb. 28 6 remaining
after March 6 5 remaining
after March 13 4 remaining
after March 20 2 remaining
after March 27 1 Winner
TexasLady:
Thanks for the schedule. Did you find it odd that Trump seemed to be saying that Piers was just as much to blame as Omarosa in last night's episode? While he is abrasive, he has been on the winning team except for one show. Plus he raised more money than the other team all the while having to deal with the witch O's tantrums and insults. I can't believe that in a normal business day he would tolerate anyone acting like that nor allow someone to talk to him in the same manner.
I feel the audience being treated as if we were watching a wrestling match with utter faith that it is all real and the winner actually wins. (To find an analogy...) I just felt outrage that I had to endure this. I do think Trump was right not to fire anyone and I really was happy that no one volunteered to leave.
I'm hoping that next week one way or another Omarosa leaves.

NEXT WEEK ON THE CELEBRITY APPRENTICE
QUALITY, VALUE, AND CHAOS TASK:
QVC The teams meet for the task delivery, and Donald Trump sends them by helicopter to the QVC Headquarters in Pennsylvania.
Each team is responsible for writing, directing, and producing an entire ten-minute sales segment live on QVC.
A few of the celebrities have sold items on the network before, but others have a significant learning curve.
Each team has a disastrous rehearsal just before going on live TV.
In the end, the team that makes the most from sales wins, and another celebrity is fired.
