Re: Amazing Race in Prague
I'm happy to help as much as I can, I just hope I can remember something good!

The date we saw them was the 17th of July, the time would have been between 10am and 10.30am. It was at the Hradcany Castle Area, outside the entrance to Prague Castle, right below a big, green, ornamental lamp post.

The two contestants were Asian, as were two others who arrived shortly after we saw them. The other two were both male, tall and one had a brown bandana/headscarf on. So I'm guessing it was TAR Asia.

I assumed the guy with the blue backpack was a producer or something. The same goes for the woman in the red and white striped shirt. She was the one who told us off for taking photos.

Re: Re: Amazing Race Asia 2 Spoilers
Well, I'm shocked to say that I apparently have a spoiler and about a show I don't follow at all--Asian AR....

A person who used to work in my office just e-mailed me from Budapest where she's visiting relatives. She used to endure the weekly discussions of the Amazing Race with a smile that indicated we were totally demented.

So, from the e-mail dated today, July 22:
The other day we were at Heroes Square and there were people dressed in graduate garb under each hero statue. Two girls with backpacks were running around trying to pronounce the names of the heroes correctly and the graduates were judging whether they pronounced the names correctly. There was also a camera following the girls around. I was asked by one of the girls how to pronounce a name (Mátyás) and was later asked to sign a waiver in case I got on TV. It turned out to be some sort of Asian Amazing Race. I thought of you guys

Now the Prague spoiler said they were in Czech on July 17th. That's episode #9.
The Hungarian spoiler said they were in Budapest, Hungary on July 21st.

Therefore, there are 2 legs in Hungary. Usually, the 2nd leg in the same country is an elimination leg.

For example,
TARA2, 2 legs in the PI. 2nd leg in the Philippines is an elimination leg. Edwin & Monica got eliminated.
TARA2, 2 legs in New Zealand. 2nd leg in NZ is an elimination leg. Sophie & Aurelia got eliminated.
TARA2, 2 legs in Czech. 2nd leg in Czech is an elimination leg. HenTer got eliminated.

But in TARA2, 1st leg in Korea is an elimination leg. Sawaki & Daichi got eliminated. 2nd leg in Korea is a NEL. HenTer was saved. There's no rule now. Any leg in any country can be an elimination leg.

If I design this game, I'll make
episode 10: 5 teams start, Yield, NEL = 5 teams left, Hungary
11: 5 teams start, Fast Forward, elimination = 4 teams left, Budapest, Hungary
12: 4 teams start, elimination = 3 teams left
13: 3 teams start, race to the Finish line. Game over.

to "July 21". That does not compute in my mathematics. It could be July 19, 20, or 21. The implications of this are that 2 legs in Hungary are not guaranteed.

Those are screencaps from the AXN preview.

Now this is a map of Europe. If they take a train from Czech Republic to Hungary, then they have to go through Wien/Vienna of Austria, onto Bratislava of Slovakia, and then Visegrad of Hungary.

Are we sure that the next leg is in Hungary? Hmm.

banzai:

This is a railroad map. The brown lines with dashes are railroads. As you can see, the railroad goes from Czech Republic, to Vienna of Austria, onto Bratislava of Slovakia, and then Visegrad of Hungary. Budapest is the capital of Hungary.
