I don't think he threw the competition, there was no way he could do it. Plain and simple.
Eric, bitch, whine, moan . . . I seriously hurt my back in one of the first falls. And, almost blew out my knee. That's not why I lost. Seriously Zach, that was impressive.

Eric talking to Daniele. He says his method sucked basically because he thought if he went slow, the others were really going fast and would wear out and he could beat them. She says it's OK Eric. She said he nearly caught up with her, she sucked. Eric thinks the 4 of them should get together and try to intimidate Zach. (To paraphrase the conversation.)
