Are you kidding me? Melinda has been consistant every week, while Jordin just started coming on a few weeks ago. And Melinda was much better than Jordin last night, IMO!!!
After another masterpiece by Melinda, and lesser performaces by Jordin and my former front runner Blake, I am now throwing my full support behind Melinda!!! :hearts:

I thought Jordin was the best last night and she has been pretty darned consistant through the whole competition herself.
Melinda did well too but a few weeks back I thought she was going to run away with the competition and now I don't feel that way at all.
I really don't care who wins as long as chris doesn't win...he's just not very good.

I hate to think that the producers push for anyone to win but that is just me being naive.
I agree with the gist of what you say...Jordin and Blake *look* like American Idols more than Melinda.

Here is my theory on Melinda:
She is too good for this competition, at times almost perfect and I think that is going to start to annoy people. All the past winner's have had bad performances, she hasn't really had one yet and I think that will hurt her down the road. This competition is about finding a normal, everyday person with amazing talent, I don't consider Melinda normal or an amateur she is a back up singer and my guess is there is more behind that. I would expect Melinda to make an appearance in the bottom 3 soon and leave 4th.

BBall, she really is excellent, perhaps people got complacent and didn't vote for her. I know I didn't vote as many times for her as I did for CeeJay's Blake vote. (35 times last night CeeJay, my fingers.. my poor fingers!) :hugs: I just wonder, could it be she screwed up when she said she had a personal stylist and vocal trainer? When I heard that I cringed because the other contestants sure can't afford that luxury. Or perhaps since Simon always praises her she didn't get the votes she needed.
Seacrest just said this will be the most shocking elimination.. it can't be Melinda, that's too obvious. Can't be Blake or LaKisha.. who could it be? Jordin? :groan: No! Not Jordin!!! :'(
