Gnarly Marly, you can hardly call San Pedro de Atacama, Puerto Montt, and Punta Arenas the same area. There is 1000 miles between each pair and 2000 between San Pedro de Atacama and Punta Arenas. The only geographically close legs will be Punta Arenas to Ushuaia and that will still require 12 hours by ferry and bus or car to get there since flying is out due to the day of the week.

I could have forgiven them 5 South American legs if they had managed to get to Antarctica... but even though this next week looks fabulous--I would still have rather had another African or Asian location just for the variety and to shake up the language skills required...
But apskip has the geography down :tup:--and the locations within SA have been/will be pretty varied in terms of conditions.
