Now THAT I like! Maybe that's where I got it.  (Hmmm.... lends new meaning to the term "cocktail hour"! :martini:

Do you remember that old Northern Exposure show about the 24 hour daylight? The doctor guy kept going, and going, and going...Cute!

My Mom tells a great story about going to a ballgame on the longest day in Alaska---and thinking that that game was never going to be over!

I found a "Universal Time" timetable for sunrise and sunset at all longitude/latitute combinations. With the coordinates for Ushuaia for Nov. 28, 2006, sunrise was at 800am and sunset at 0048am. With one hour of dawn and dusk light on either end, we get 19 hours of light.

Here's my favorite:   Sun Earth Moon Applet

It gives sunrise at 4:59 am and sunset at 9:44 pm.

CHATEAU, note that the answer you get is pratically identical to mine in terms of differntial between sunrise and sunset. I think I've inferred what "Universal time" is. It's Greenwich mean time and Ushuaia must be 3 hours behind it and 2 hours ahead of Eastern time.

Chateau d If:
I see.  Sticking in the offset from GMT is tricky.  I wish the program did it automatically.  I always have to go hunt it down from timezone data sites.
