Hey HurricaneHowieWood!  Good to cya here.  You've been playing hooky?  ;)

LOL!! Not hooky Rudy, just been really busy working on my Master's Degree.  But I will be out there for the BB8 this summer, and you can bet I will be looking for any tidbits of info on the season.

By the way, who thinks we'll see Rob and/or Amber in the house this year? CBS are just itching to give them some more money!!!

I bet we will see them in the house soon.  Possibly Big Brother 9: Reality TV Veterans.

No, CBS will make a Special Edition for them. Big Brother SE: Romber   only Rob & Amber live in the house, and they sell us the live feeds for the extremely low price of $49.95 per day. Because CBS knows that people who love Romber would pay that fee. And everyday they would send someone in the house to stroke Robs ego, and remove all sharp objects from Amber. It will make a great 2 years of TV.

I was being sarcastic.  I would hate it if BB9 was all RTV Vets.  I want new unknowns in the house.  Romber (or any other former reality star, for that matter) would make the summer less interesting.

I totally agree!  In all Reality (no pun!) ANY reality show with ALL newbies is bunches better and lots more fun    than the shows w/ the vets!

Exactly, Ruday.  Plus, it gives us fresh faces to watch, and new conversations to have on this forum.

So who has any great ideas for the lame twist they'll throw at the HGs this summer?  Maybe the producers look around this forum and we could give them some ideas.   ;)  They sure are lacking.

Geeze, I hope they don't look here, otherwise I need to delete the Big Brother SE: Romber idea, because you know they will go thru with it.

THEY BOTH WOULD GET EVICTED SO QUICKLY BECAUSE OF THAT ALONE...ALTHOUGH THE ROMBER CONSPIRASY WOULD BE FUN!

I would love for CBS to put voting ppl off in the hands of the audience again .

I know 1st season there was an issue w/ chicken george family member(s) cheating, but I am sure that there is a way around that. Look at american idol. I think that<audience participation> is a major reason why that show works and it can do the same for BB...imo

Please dear god don't let CBS do that -that's what happens in the UK and that's the single biggest reason why UK BB is so much more boring than BB USA.

Without the strategy, backstabbing, alliances, HOH and veto contests, BB is basically just some people sitting around for 3 months.

Besides, if it was up to the public, Will would never have won!

You're right, James.  BB would be purty borrrinng if the audience was in charge of the evictions.

I still enjoy BBuk, even though the public votes them out.
But yeah, BBusa is still enjoyable when they evict their own.  Three Cheers for BBusa houseguests to evict themselves.   :cheer: :cheer: :cheer:

Big Brother Season 8
with Allison Grodner at the helm.

Because of the popularity of the show Big Brother, CBS has just recently ordered an eighth installment of the show that will premiere in July 2007.

The much-awaited Big Brother season 8 will continue to have the same format just like previous installments of the show. In addition, the show will continue to be hosted by Julie Chen, wife of CBS Corporation president Les Moonves.

Big Brother, a reality series that showcases strangers who live under one roof equipped with loads of cameras and microphones to document their every move 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The goal of each housemate is to utilize his or her wit, charm, brains and brawns to ultimately win the cash prize. The reality show premiered in 2000 and has aired every summer following its initial run.

So what’s new with the upcoming Big Brother season 8? To begin with, season 8 will launch a “new epoch, ” after the “all star” experience from Big Brother season 7. It will also feature a new set of housemates with new challenges and surprise features to make the show even more interesting. Moreover, the function of Arnold Shapiro, Emmy and Oscar winning actor and executive producer of Big Brother season 1 to 6, has been trimmed down after the previous seasons’ catastrophic results.

Allison Grodner, executive producer of Big Brother who also worked with Shapiro explains that she and Shapiro will embark on new ventures separately. She told Variety, "We consider All-Stars sort of the end of an era, and now we're getting a chance to start once again with a fresh cast and new twists…We're at different stages in our respective careers…It's an amicable split of projects and directions."

At present, the auditions for the housemates of Big Brother season 8 are still ongoing. Deadline for the application is April 13, 2007 but may be extended depending on the producer's discretion.

Looks like there's still time to get yourself registered, for a chance to be an "inmate" in this years big brother house.  :lol3:

What is it that they mean by "last season's disastrous results"?

The fact that Erica made it to the final 2??

I loved the series up until that point... should have been a Will / Janelle final!
