I was contacted by the producers of Tease to shot the pilot ealier this year. They flew me out to LA and I battled against the guy who does the American Idol hair...his name is Dean. We had 90 minutes to cut long hair to short with color. There was a host with 3 judges who decided the winner (all 3 judges and the host were replaced after the pilot along with Dean). It was a lot of fun....and I won!!!
I thought that would be the end of it.
But the producers kept telling me they loved me etc. and wanted to use me more (which btw you hear in hollywood all the time so I wasn't taken it for much). They came up with the idea of 'house stylist' for me to be in every episode but weren't sure if Oxygen would go for it...they did. Oxygen decided they wanted a bigger name like the bald guy off of Rosie's show (David Avangelista). Still wasn't holding my breath.
They sold the show to Oxygen and decided to shot the first season of 6 episodes. The producers got a hold of me and said that they had 'written' a new part for me and it was mine. Yes sir co-host
house stylist...ad libber audience harrasser! lol
I just got back from filming for 2 weeks in LA. We shot on the lot I Love Lucy was shot on from '51 to '53. <---love **** like that
The premise is 2 'hometown' stylist compete with a 911 hair emergency....all are different scenerios like...i dyed my own hair blonde and now it is green....that kind of thing. Then whoever wins that round gets to go up head to hed with a 'master' stylist in a themed event. Like avant garde or blondes have more fun.
Lisa is the host I am like the co-host. She was very nice. She was very busy since she is also getting ready for the Dancing with the Stars tour. She is like the Heidi Klum and I am more like the Tim Gunn. I do most my stuff in the audience...all ad lib. I do 30 second tips and a Jenny Craig makeover each episode. I also harrass the stylists at they compete. I give out the trophy and Lisa and I interview the winners and losers together at the close of the show. It is all very live, with a Saturday Night Live vibe.
I am extremely lucky and had a hell of a time. I kept wondering how I was lucky enough to be running this 3 million dollar machine because they let me do anything I wanted and trusted me to the end degree. I had them fooled
Dont know how lucky I was to get this but I did. I think the show is great and I am not just saying that. I would tune in just to see what the stylists wear (from a asain guy in tight leather pants with silver boots to a black girl in all lether with a purple mohawk down to her butt) much less the hair they put out (the avant garde show blew my mind). It is light, fun and I hope it is a hit for Oxygen if they can just let people know they even have it lol.
We will see...I know I am gonna do my damnest!!!
