3 eps ago, I was speculating that Tom might be a mole, & now relieved he isn't. However he was willing to compromise his position to threaten the President's stand against terrorism, by going along with moles who wanted the Pres out by definitive action. So Tom was purdy dang close to becoming part of a molish act! He backed out though. Although that means trouble for Tom, at least he stood by Pres Palmer. But what's gonna happen to Tom?

That's for sure!! Last night's show was a real nail biter. About the time things are beginning to level out a bit, whamo, here comes more plots/sub plots. Amazing how they constantly keep interweaving more stuff into it! Wow, what a great show!

My head is swirling... I'm fairly certain Josh is Jack's son, but he seems to have inherited little from the mother's side of the family. For example when told to run from the killers, she stays with Milo even though she knows for certain they have guns and for all she knows is going to kill them both. Heroic but stupid comes to mind. (Unless she knows that Jack has signed on for another few years of 24 and will save the day. I'd say Milo was very lucky though, given the odds of CTU staff to live more than one season.)
Josh could/should have made for the door when he heard his loving grandfather say 'Too bad, if you don't do what I want, I'll have to send Josh to be with his father.' (Whichever one it is, maybe I've been reading too much about Anna Nichole.) Given his heritage couldn't he have figured out some way to take out his grandfather and get the gun? Rip the lamp cord out of the wall and zap him?
I'm to the point that I'd be willing to bring back President Logan from his forced retirement because really and truly I don't want to watch another President assassinated but I'd rather it be Logan than another Palmer. He needs a shave though... Logan REALLY REALLY needs a shave. My hopes were that the little weasel would go rat out the guy in the boiler room, but nope.. no such luck he's on the floor and the weasel is busy getting the hit man clearance.
I've decided Rudy, bring back Audrey and Kim.
ETA: I am sort of disappointed this year. I love 24. I've watched it every season since it began, but something is different this year and I can't quite put my finger on it. I think it is the writing for Jack. His character just isn't the same. I don't know if they are writing it this way to add some dramatic tension to the show. ??? Hopefully it will pick up though. This week was definitely better.

Omgosh, TL...I was telling my best friend, also an avid 24 fan, that Josh doesn't appear to fit into the same mold as his gr'pa and dad. He resembles Jack in actions/expressions/ perceptiveness/awareness of his surroundings. Well, my friend suggested the same as you... that possibly Josh is Jack's son!! Awesome if he is! :yess: Wow, that would more than fill a deep void in Jack's life, having viciously lost his wife, having to kill his good friend Curtis, then finding out that his dad & bro turned out to be lowlife wicked murderers! I sooo hope Josh is his son.
Even if Josh had gone to the door, I doubt he could unlock it with the card without making noise, & gotten clear away from his gr'pa in time. I kept saying...go Josh, goooo...get the heck outa there!! Whoa, sooo intense. My head was swirling too! Had to take a few deep breaths and gather my wits after the show!!
Audrey is returning, but from what I've read...not for a long time. It probably won't be this season. And Kim? I really doubt she'll be back unless it's for a very brief visit w/ her dad. She is the least liked among viewers. My friend can't stand her! I tolerate her.
If Pres Palmer is assassinated, the VP would take over unless the plan is for the whole administation to be overthrown? I hadn't thot it thru that far...so not sure how that will play out.
What do you think about the actor who plays Pres Wayne Palmer? I haven't liked his acting at all. He overplays the part, like he's trying too hard. But last season, he did a great job playing the brother/president's advisor role. Maybe he got so used to playing that role, it's difficult for him to fit into & adjust to a totally different role...in the same environment. Dunno, but he makes me nervous. He is not a natural in the President role...not yet anyway. I hope, if he isn't killed off, his acting will very soon improve greatly!
Well, I could go on and on, but need to do my Survivor game and git to bed. :nitenite:
ttyl.......

Ruday, Sorry I have been a little busy lately or I would have answered you sooner. I'm tired of old Prez. Wayne Palmer. Since he was further away from the blast, I'm sure he is just injured not killed but sadly the VP will take over. David Palmer was a much better character and actor for that matter, he was believable in the role.
I have decided after seeing the previews for next week that Jack was suffering from jet lag and is getting his act together, the old Jack is coming back to life. Whew!
