Here is a possible reason why the next leg has such an odd start time.  That is we see them starting in bright daylight (not a 12 hour pit stop).

There is a direct flight from Chennai to Kuwait leaving at 6:30 am on June 8th.   ;D  Mary and David would never be able to make that flight under standard 12 hour pit stop timing.  That would make for a very unsatisfying play of the new twist.
