Slop
« on: August 29, 2006, 05:47:05 PM »
I was wondering if anyone knows what exactly is in the slop that the HGs "get" to eat.  Maybe I read it somewhere but I don't remember right now.    ???

I think Janelle described it as cream of wheat without the wheat lol. It looks like watered down cream of wheat or something. I guess this doesn't answer your question so I should probably shuttup, but now im curious. Although maybe we don't want to know lol.

It is rumored to be a high protein oatmeal from Bill Pearls Champions Choice. If you google it you can see it comes in a big bucket. Could be something else though, I really don't know for sure.

Did you use different flavors?  I love the Apple and Cinimon flavor.  But the slop is purely tastless, so I don't know if you used the original flavor or flavored.

Refresh my memory, can those on slop add artifical flavors to the slop?

LOL! I'll make you some.  :lol3:

Seriously though, speaking of wanting something to chew and crunch, I bet that is why they eat pickles!

I think they can add flavors to it.  They can use condiments and spices.  I think.

I've seen them add honey, brown sugar , cinnamon , salsa , pickles, ketchup , mustard , syrup, BBQ sauce to name a few . I guess the main problem is they can't use milk .Basically its raw oats .

I like the old fashioned oats but it needs lots of sugar in it.  I dont think i could eat it ever day and for every meal for a week though ewwwww.

I was also wondering if they are giving out so many slp passes becuase of george being on it for the whole time. I do not recall in previous years them giving out that many pb&j passes i think i only remember one.  but they season there seems to be a slop pass every week.
