FX brings Morgan Spurlock’s documentary reality series 30 Days back tonight at 10 p.m. ET with the first of six new episodes. The series places one person in a context very different than the one they’re used to for a period of 30 days.

The first episode follows a Minuteman who will live with “a family of mixed status” immigrants. Next week, a computer programmer who lost his job due to outsourcing will go to India to spend a month with people who do outsourced jobs for US companies. In the fifth episode, a pro-choice woman who had an abortion will live in a pro-life maternity home.

But if last season is any indication, none of those episodes will be as fascinating as the sixth, which follows Morgan Spurlock as he goes to jail for 30 Days. Despite the interesting premise for the other episodes, last season, his episode was much more compelling, because he’s a stronger personality and more interesting subject.
Because sometimes the way to feel good about yourself is by making someone else feel bad. I am tired of making others feel good about themselves.
