One of the stars of MTV's "The Real World" was arrested for allegedly assaulting her boyfriend in Cromwell, N.Y., it was reported Tuesday.

Paula Ann Meronek, 25, who had been described by MTV producers as "damaged," was arrested at her home shortly after 3 a.m. Sunday, the Middletown (N.Y.) Press reported.

Meronek was charged with third-degree assault for allegedly biting John Alyward when he refused her entry into the house they shared after an earlier argument, the newspaper said. Alyward, who suffered at least five bite wounds, was charged with disorderly conduct for not letting Meronek into the house, police said.

Meronek is back in New York after spending time in "The Real World" Key West, Fla., house with six roommates. Their exploits can be seen weekly on MTV.

Just to let you know, there is a Cromwell and Middletown Connecticut. I think that's the state they're referring to. (I live in Connecticut, so I should know this.) There was even a story about this on my CBS affiliate's noon news.
I thought that when we fought, I was to blame
Now I know you play a different game
I've seen you dance with danger; still wanting more
