I wonder what the reaction would be if the American Big Brother went on holiday.
But then again, in the UK, Big Brother is more of a character. In the US they really don't play up Big Brother except to scold the houseguests or call them to the diary room. I don't think I've ever heard the US version talk to the houseguests in the diary room. that's what I like about the UK version, it's fun.

Yeah, we see BBuk has a personality.  They have multiple voices and multiple ways BB interacts.
The BBus has the same voice and all it says to the HGs is "Please come to the Diary Room." and "This is a lockdown".  I've never heard BBus talk in the Diary room...ever!!

And having BBusa leave on vacation wouldn't have much effect.  We don't hear BB on of the USA show, so the HGs wouldn't miss them as much as the UK HGs did.

I have yet to get to the eleimination but I think Susie is finally gone.

My favorite Aisleyne part so far.
you have, you have, pressed, you have, pressed, pressed, five, you have, six, pressed, you have, seven, pressed, you have, four, you have been evicted.
"I don't want to be evicted." Then leaves the diary room crying. Dork!

I knew you would.  Susie is out.  Thank God!  What do you think of the new twist (or shall I say, Familiar Twist that was done in the USA version)?

She was talking about it on one of the episodes this week.  I think she's almost done filming it and she had to get a little dog with a pik bow on (like Paris on The Simple Life).  She didn't say much of what she did, I just remember she mentioned it.  I'm going to try and see it, but I'll be in college when it premires and won't be able to get it until I come home on vacations.  I would love to see it though.

I just finished watching part one of last night's eviction.  I'm going to watch the ex-housemate move in now.

What was Glyn thinking? How stupid was that?

Nice, I still need to watch Saturday's (the 12) episode too.  I'm noticed the latest episode isn't up yet for a torrent.  Usually its there at 9PM.

And that was stupid of what Gyln did.  I was wondering what he did over at the House next Door.  That was entertaining though, I liked watching it, but I did think he was going to be evicted too.

At frist I thought that was someone who had climbed over or something. I just couldn't believe Glyn was the person. I guess it's hard to imagine the emotions that overtake you when you've been cooped up for so long. I think Pete is guaranteed a win now.

Pete is going to win on Friday.  Big Brother is a roller-coaster ride and Glyn is only 18.  He is young and naive.  Put him in a house with other strong characters and tempt him with some of his friends being next door.  BB should have known he would do something crazy, but I wasn't expecting he would climb on the wall.

I think there is alot of people to choose from for the final week.  In the USA, everyone chooses from two poeple.  In the UK, we have 6!?!?  I would have liked to see another double eviction, dwindle the houseguests down to four.

I agree. But most of the people there have no chance of winning. I doubt Jennie, Aisleyne or Richard will win. Nikki, Glyn and Pete have a much better chance. There were people on the chanel4 forum saying that a betting company had closed bets on Aisleyne and she was going to win, but everyone in response to the message said he was just dreaming. I'll have to see if I can find the odds of the housemates winning.

BB's Pete may receive live TV 'ban'

BB's Pete may receive live TV 'ban'

Big Brother housemate Pete may not be allowed to appear on live TV shows because he suffers from Tourette's Syndrome.

He involuntarily shouts obscenities when he is nervous - and swearing isn't allowed on daytime television programmes.

TV schedules are being hastily moved around to accommodate the 24-year-old's disability, according to The Sun.

Dermot's Big Brother's Little Brother (BBLB) will be moved from its usual Sunday lunchtime position to an evening slot.

"Pete is set to win but even if he comes second or third he is going to be a vital part of any BBLB," a Channel 4 source told the paper.

"The decision has been taken to move BBLB to a prime-time slot so he can swear as much as he likes."

The Brighton comic will not be allowed to appear on live interviews for shows such as GMTV and Richard & Judy.

It is also reported Pete will sign up with John Noel Management - who already look after Davina McCall and Dermot O'Leary - and that they have a plan to deal with his swearing, such as pre-recording interviews.

BB punters keep piling on the cash
The Press Association Monday August 14, 12:50 PM

BB punters keep piling on the cash
More than £5 million has been gambled on this year's Big Brother, bookmakers Ladbrokes revealed.

The amount - across the whole of the bookmaking industry - means that more than £56,179 in wagers have been placed every 24 hours on the Channel 4 show, said the bookmaker.

Ladbrokes spokesman Nick Weinberg said: "This series of Big Brother has smashed all records."

"Despite the outcry over a number of the show's stunts, punters have kept the faith," he added.

The favourite to win the series - now in its final week - is Tourette's sufferer Pete. His odds to win the show have slightly lengthened from 1/6 to 1/5.

Nikki - who caused an outcry by being voted back into the house last week - is proving not very popular with punters. Her odds have drifted from 12/1 to 20/1, as her relationship with Pete continues.

Mr Weinberg said: "Both Pete and Nikki seem to be suffering as a result of their lovey dovey antics. But Pete has got plenty to play with and is still the nailed on favourite. But Nikki's drifting like an unmanned barge. She could easily fall at the first hurdle."

The winner will be announced on Friday's final show.

The latest odds are Pete 1/5; Glyn 8/1; Nikki 20/1; Richard 66/1; any other winner 6/1.

Sorry, additional thoughts on the last show. 50 percent was a tremendous reshowing of the live show, the other 50% was of Pete and Nikki canoodling, or spooning, or whatever it is they call it. Not my favorite episode. I actually fell asleep watching it.

I'd love to find out why Bonnie was not able to come back. Davina said for legal reasons but I can't seem to find any article on what that might be. Also, what about Jonathan, the first guy evicted from the house next door? Was he not eligible?

Maybe they should have put Johnathan in for the final week instead of doing that week long twist.  And about that article about the odds, where have Aisleyne and Jennie gone for the odds?  I guess they will definitely not be winning, lol.

Last time I checked the website Aisleyne's was at 4-1. I don't know why they didn't add her. I think Jennie was 6-1, but I don't see that.

Personally, I think if Jennie hadn't of won that free pass, then she would have been nominated along with Imogen and Richard.  Then a double eviction would have been in store for the houseguests leaving five left this season.  I knew Aisleyne and Jennie would have had low odds for betting, they aren't the favorites.  Although, I am surprised to see Richard at the finals.  I thought he would have been evicted before Imogen was evicted.

Yea, I was surprised by Richard staying around for as long as he has. And he's been nominated several times.

When Lea and Richard were nominated together, I thought it was Richard to go because Lea was close to Pete.  I thought Richard was going to be evicted in the middle of the pack, and he was defintely not my pick for one to make it to the end.

I was thinking that they would have a double eviction on the Tuesday before the finale.  That way, they could have 4 left, but that isn't going to happen.
