Great eye puddin--I didn't see the boat in the background!

So how does media day work? Any possibility that these photos could have been taken the day BEFORE the teams actually left? 2PM makes it a little late to get to the airport...(Thanks Chateau for the times!)

Might also explain why we see a cute blonde in a pink shirt (?Dustin) at the airport--they could have changed shirts by then...

GEORGIA PEACH, no 2pm is not explainable as on the day of the start. It has to be on a different day. Charla and Mirna were spotted at Miami International Airport on Monday Nov. 20 before NOON. The first flight was scheduled to leave at 350pm if I remember correctly. The racers were in lockdown from Nov. 16 or 17 until Nov. 20, so there were multiple days for all the publcity photos tobe taken. This also allowed time for use of multiple sites (there appear to be 3 that those working this have discovered, as you know from being in the middle of it just like I have).

How about the clothes? Do they require racers (and Phil) to wear the same clothes for media day and start day?

You can wear whatever you want. Media day was the day before we left. The place we had our media day was not the same place we started the race from though. We did the walking by the camera thing the morning we left. So those clothes would be the same ones they would start the race in.

Hi Tammy! It's great to have you sharing your insights here! I loved meeting you and your thoroughly delightful children at lunch and TARcon--some of my favorite pictures are the ones with your children! I would have loved to see you and Bill on the race again--doesn't seem fair that Season 8 was left out...

So we know where the media photos were taken.....still working on the start location though Chateau's golf course looks very possible...what else?

I was wondering where this "taken from above" shot was from...now I'm thinking it must be from the umpires chair at he volleyball field!

Are we ready to start speculating more about Ecuador and the Atacama desert?
