I don't know if a separate thread for on-line articles will be created; for the time being, I'll post in the team threads.
An article about Charles Taylor II. (sort of odd: it's my understanding that a man is "jr" until his father dies, then he becomes "II"; the grandson is always "III." Is this wrong?)

Typecasting is my friend!!!

I wonder if they will team up with the Wilds as SMU is a Texas school and the Wilds are from Texas.  Woudl be an intersting alliance... the burly guy and the chemistry majors.

They were almost eliminated first because of this screw-up. And if I'm not mistaken...wasn't it on their part and not the other teams'?
I thought that when we fought, I was to blame

I've seen you dance with danger; still wanting more

Now that you mention it, I do remember a guy telling the bus driver to take them to Mount Roosevelt. I believe it was a Genius and not a member of the other team alongside.

The geniuses instructed the driver; they were sure (and wrong) the entire time. Chandra (or maybe it was Taryn) was right about Rushmore, but nobody on the team--including Drew, who was doing a Hamlet routine for the entire trip--would stand up to the geniuses.

If you're a fan of the Geniuses (waits for answer......wind whistles, coyotes howl), SMU has a site devoted to their part in the show.

:groan: The stupidest geniuses I have ever seen.  Esp. Francis.  What an idiot.  They should be eliminated and the Young Profs. should still be in.

I think they should be called Team Dumbass.

They had an opportunity to knock out a strong team but didn't.  If they had just given the Fogals the clue, Team Air Force would have been gone.

Geniuses indeeed   ??? ???

Didn't anybody make it to this show the traditional way? I've found evidence of several teams being chosen by casting agents; the lastest team I've found is the winners, who got cast because they were protesting Victoria's Secret (there's a joke in there, somewhere ). From the Dallas Morning News:
Quote
Getting cast on the series was pure serendipity. Mr. Goldshmid, co-chair of Students for a Better Society, was holding a campus protest. It seems Victoria's Secret uses paper made from Canadian old-growth trees for its slick catalogs, a no-no in environmentalist circles. He, Mr. Khurana and another friend, Ben Wells, were approached by a casting director in town looking for contestants.
