The One on ABC?

I saw a preview and that is that really another reality show and I just looked it up on ABC and yes, there is another singing show coming out....The One.

 
Based on the international sensation, the series will follow the lives of contestants as they attend a fully functioning music academy that turns aspiring singers into music stars through professional training. The show will follow all the drama in the music academy, as it offers vocal coaching and celebrity mentors who will turn potential into talent in a state-of-the-art training and recording facility. Each week contestants will perform live for the American audience, who will have to vote to keep their favorites in the competition. In addition, the contestants' coaches will also serve as judges. The winner will receive a recording contract with a major record company. Series premiere date TBD.

The One: Making a Music Star is produced by Endemol USA, producer of the Emmy-winning series Extreme Makeover: Home Edition.

Beats AI by leaps and bounds. contestants have musical talent judge seem real and encouraging and i'm sure drama will ensue  B:)

caught part of the episode last night.  It was OK.  Someone care to recap the show and give your opinion of the entire episode??

i had to turn it off...wasn't really interested....honestly after Rockstar all these singing competitions SUCK!

only thing worth watching is George.........MMMMMMMMMMMMMM I MISS YOU ON MUCH MUSIC!!!!!!!!!!!!

honestly though you think the talent is equal or above rockstar???? its american idol quality and thats not nearly as good as it can be

Lowest-rated premiere in ABC history. I'm am quite sure this will be cancelled shortly. And CBC wanted to replace The National with this?

what pisses me off is my DVR was set to record tonights 10pm showing....only to find out ABC moved it to 8PM  :gaah:

I hate the gods of ABC.

the biggest problem i found with this show was they didn't show auditions...which would have been nice to see.  and they seem over acting when they are "teaching" them

Variety notes that ABC “will have to settle up with producer Endemol USA, which was contracted to produce more than a dozen additional episodes of the show at a pricetag likely in excess of $1 million per” episode.

ABC.com says: There are no plans for additional episodes. Thanks to all who participated in and supported The One!
