ANy more confimation concerning weither the Early show has castoffs this week.  I know an early  tag for it did.

I'll go with the 2:30PM estimate as it can't be 6:30PM since the sun sets at 6:26PM, and we still see some shadows around JO and his BLOWpipe.  Or, Didgeridoo, which by the way is made out of termite-hollowed out branches of the stringybark tree.  The key to making the proper sound (instead of a raspberry!) is to hum while vibrating  your lips and to adapt so that you are breathing circularly, that is breathe through your nose as you blow out through your lips.  It takes a while to adapt to the proper method.

Just saw the TVGuide quip about "will he succeed in the second part of the challenge". A two-part detour?  I wonder what the second part can be and do both members of the team have to do the same two things????

I hate waiting.   (:;)

Though I think it would be really cool for it to be an elimination round.  So far the producers schedule has been far different from previous seasons.

A Double leg very early int he season.  A fast forward and a Yield both on elimination episodes.

SO unless the Frats are last I am hoping for an elimination.  There I have said it.

""will he succeed in the second part of the challenge"

I think it's a play on words gman. The question they also ask is "Will he "blow" the second?  The first part was finding the Aborigine with the instrument, now they have to "play" it for the "second part."

eta: some cool sounds come out of the didgeridoo. Don't remember if it was the Discovery Channel or the History Channel  where just a few days ago they showed a segment about three Aborigines making some sweet music with them. They also hit them on the side with a stick while playing to get different vibrations. Hopefully we will see a demonstration.

What's just as interesting is the map Tyler is holding. It's similar in style to the camel map but the markings look different; I think it's supplied by the producers.

Unless the editors are really screwing around with the taxi sequence (mixing shots through the windscreen with interior shots) then this looks like the teams travelling to the Perth Airport after finding the clew at the Swan Bells Tower.  And if the producers hold to the normal opening hour (10:00AM - but TPTB have a nasty habid of having their own private "opening hours") then the taxi sequence is probably between 10:30AM and 11:30AM

FWIW, I don't think the yield is at Croc Park. If MoJo were yielded, I don't think they'd be allowed to put on their waders and everything. I think MoJo is just her normal ticked self while they're waiting their turn for the croc pits.

Good catch, I was beginning to think maybe that was teh Yield point.  But you are right they wouldn't be allowed to gear up.

My guess is that the Yield is before Detour.

Reasons for the Yield not directly before the Crocs is provided above.  A Yield before the Roadblock does not make much sense either.  And with 3 teams racing to the mat together, I suspect the Yield is early in the show vs. late.

One other thought about the Yield is this:  2 teams are in front while the other 2 teams are 30 minutes behind.  One of the leading teams Yields the other creating 3 teams behind, 30 minutes later.

We have to wait until tomorrow.

Just a summary of what's gone on here recently with some new spec about times...

EPISODE 10 – 5/3/06
START: Perth/Rottnest, Australia (November 23/24, 2005)
ERIC & JEREMY depart pit stop between 11:30pm & midnight on 11/23
JOSEPH & MONICA depart pit stop between 11:30pm & midnight on 11/23
BJ & TYLER depart pit stop between midnight and 12:30am on 11/24
RAY & YOLANDA depart pit stop between 1:00 and 1:30am on 11/24
TEAMS bunched at Swan Bells Tower (might wait until 10am)
TEAMS make way to Perth Airport (daytime shots in cabs)
While there, E&J cancel cabs in Darwin
E or J jokes teams should have used their fake names (to avoid getting cabs canceled)
TEAMS fly to Darwin (on either 10:35 or 12:20 flight)
TEAMS arrive in Darwin (between 4:00 and 8:00pm)
TEAMS proceed to SkyCity Hotel/Casino (between 4:30 and 8:30pm)
TEAMS proceed to Croc Park and are bunched until it opens in the morning (9:00am according to
park website - ?)
TEAMS choose numbers and wait turn
TEAMS start at Croc Park and wade through croc waters to retrieve clue from other side of cage
YIELD is probably not here since teams are bunched at the start of task
ORDER OF TEAMS: unknown, MoJo is not first (Mo shown waiting in waders)
TEAMS depart between 9:30 and 10:30am?
   CAUTION: yield ahead?
TEAMS proceed to ROADBLOCK – skydiving
If at Skydive Territory, about an 80-minute drive
TEAMS arrive between 10:45 and 11:45am, if no one gets lost(?)
YIELD here?
BJT & MoJo arrive at same time, maybe 1st & 2nd?
MOJO yield BJT? (see potential reason under Litchfield Park section)
ERIC, BJ, MONICA, and RAY do the task for their respective teams
Teams spread out 30 min from each other at this point at least
FIRST TEAM (MoJo) departs around 11:30am after instructions & dive?
   SECOND TEAM departs around 12:15pm?
   THIRD TEAM departs around 1:00pm?
FOURTH TEAM (BJT?) departs around 1:45pm after hour-long yield and waiting for other TEAMS to dive?
ORDER OF TEAMS: unknown, MoJo probably not last (see reason under Litchfield Park)
TEAMS proceed to unknown location?
YIELD probably not here – if there IS another location, there will be no task
Often is at least one location we haven’t seen in previews
Usually is a location between a detour and a roadblock, yeah?
We might need another location to make up time between the yielded team and the
others for the 3-team footrace – doesn’t seem like the detour alone would do it…
   ORDER OF TEAMS: unknown
TEAMS proceed to Litchfield National Park
YIELD probably not here – too late in the leg for someone to be yielded & catch up
DETOUR: Didjeridoo or swimming with spiders
   BJT & E&J choose swimming
   Rayo & MoJo choose didjeridoo
ORDER OF TEAMS: unknown, all teams perform task in daylight (before 6:30pm)
MoJo performing task around 2:30pm (if times above are close, MoJo is
probably NOT one of the last teams to leave ROADBLOCK – it would make
2:30 too close to be at the DETOUR)
TEAMS proceed to pit stop
Three teams race to finish, one further ahead
ORDER OF TEAMS, total spec based on DETOUR time: 1. MoJo, 2. E&J, 3. Ray & Yo, 4. BJT
   Non-elimination leg
FINISH: Darwin, Australia (November 25, 2005)

Thanks, mwooden.  Not that I love or hate anyone, but I hope you're right.  Your theories and speculations have been great so far, as well as your reasoning behind them.

Maybe Jo just forgot to change the hours on his watch when moving from one of the countries???  I dont know that could explain if its is 6:30.  Honestly i prolly wouldnt remember to change it either!

If MOJO comes in first they are totally shaddowing the Linz's it was the non elim in the final four where they first came in first also.

Anyone in first aisde from two males it happy by me.  We need another female [aside from Fran] to reach the mat in first.

What i see is Jeremy says the title.  which order do you think the cars are in, from what i can tell hippies may be last, they have grey interior, frats have dark interior and mojo has light interior, but from what mo is saying it makes it sound like they are last, but i think she is just worried about running.  whatcha think?
