 Nice catch. So maybe it's not a detour or a roadblock, just route info: Drive to Litchfield/Batchelor/etc.

Maybe they have to eat the crocodiles when they're done grabbing a clue.

Do we have any idea yet if or where the Yield is in location to the other events.

The Yield has usually been before a roadblock

Season 6 (roadblock with the underground church)
Season 6 (roadblock with washing window on bilding and repealing down it)
Season 7 (roadblock parking the double decker bus in London)
Season 8 (roadblock of finding a different color bean)
Season 8 (Roadblock of sky jumping in a Pool)
Season 9 (Roadblock assembling a statue)

But in season 5.  It wasn't a Roadblock (both team members helped assemble the taxi's extra parts) and it wasn't the Detour because that was birds and the imfamous broken Oxen).  Where we finally saw what might have been one of the ebst teams ahve one of the biggest blowups ever in the history of the Amazing Race.

So is it possible that the Yield is before getting the clue to in the croc pin.  That would certainly give Monica the reason to look shall we say slightly upset.

only have the web promo Gman .........as good as it gets
I bet they only have to grab a clue in the croc waters , no feed them

Yep, in one of your earlier pics you can clearly see the envelope hanging in the corner of the cage.

eta: In this pic you can see the envelope right above Jeremia's right shoulder...

Nice catch Big Papi !!  :jam:

you don't have to apologize banzai, I agree this season had lost some of the magic of past seasons ( tar 5 & 7 were my favs )
thanks for the download , I'm off to watch  :jumpy:

Maybe they have to eat the crocodiles when they're done grabbing a clue.

ewwwwwwwwww

I cant get a feel for which comes first RB or Detour ? but gut tells me its the RB with the yield being there and thats how we have  a footrace to the pitstop with the 3 teams per clue because the detour allows the teams to bunch up .

Not much to report on.  CBS did finally run a promo on "Numbers" Friday night.  All their promo time is being spent on plugging their better rated shows just to boost the ratings higher during the sweeps month.  Meanwhile the audience numbers for TAR are in the low 7's; not good news.  A rerun of Criminal Minds running in the Tuesday 10PM slot pulled down twice the TAR rating last week for the same time period.

The daylight shots of The Hippies and MO/JO in taxies are definitely in Perth; the same sticker is on the front windscreen in shots shown in preview and in shots from taxies from Perth Airport to Kings Park.  From what can be seen through the windscreen it looks like taxies are outside of the downtown city limits and headed for the airport (20kms from downtown).  Shadows seem to show that it is around 11:00AM.  Looks like teams will be catching Quantas Flight No. 1942 leaving at 12:20PM and arriving in Darwin after sunset at 7:05PM

Here is an alternate for the skydiving: http://www.topendtandems.com.au/index.htm
Did anyone notice on mwoodens map the Coomalie Creek Airstrip?

A couple pics in Litchfield N.P. They aren't labeled a particular creek or anything. They wouldn't be wearing a life vest and helmet if they were just skirting around a small creek. Maybe they have to jump off a waterfall at the end????

theres your Waterfalls SUPS !!  :jumpy: looks like a trail .....pictures are cruddy but you could see E&J scaling down some falls .

It's probably a GL; Aussie aircraft are VH followed by three letters. I've tried searching the registry for various combinations (K/X/W/Y--GL/GI), but no luck so far.

Not a clue!

CBS finally ran a length promo last night during Criminal Minds - 30 seconds and in this age of 5 second commercials that's a s...pot full!!

Some new scenes added.  Looks like some time is spent in Litchfield National Park.  Just about an hour's drive from Darwin.  But from all the information I have seen, this is a difficult place to get around since there are not many real roads; some beaten tracks needing 4WD vehicles to drive on and lots of long trails some five or more kms. in length to reach rivers, ponds, falls, etc.

Nice shot of The Hippies running through what looks like the Lost City.  Thought at first that this might be the site of the Pit Stop, but they seem to be completely dry so it may be they are trying to reach the SWIM detour at perhaps either Florence Falls, Tolmer Falls or Bully Rockhole.

Strange but we have not one shot of teams either in cabs, buses, vans, or driving 4WD's on their own.  Most likely they would be driving themselves from the Sky City Hotel/Casino to Crocodylus Park, then south to Coomalie Creek Airstrip near Batchelor, then on into Litchfield National Park.  Then do they return to Darwin for the Pit Stop or find another location within the National Park?

Whatever happens first in Perth, it looks like all four teams are on the same flight to Darwin.  Spoiler says that upon arrival when it would be dark (sunset at 6:26PM) they are transported (read taxi) to the Sky City Hotel/Casino.  Do they have to do something at the Casina (win at blackjack or something ) to get clue to go to the Crocodylus Park.  They get there and find that the park does not open until 10AM.  So instead of a nice comfortable bed at the hotel, they camp out at the entrance gate.

Do they have to pick numbers for their position in the croc tank?  Or is the YIELD here and MO/JO are yielded by the Hippies?

Then do they drive to Batchelor and find the Skydive Territory parachute club at the Coomalie Creek Airstrip?  Plane is a Cessna 182 which can carry four passengers.  We have a ROADBLOCK here and one member of each team jumps with a tandem jump master AND  a free-fall cameraperson.  Each jump is videographed from another jumper. (I wonder if each team receives a video of their jump as advertised as part of the jump package?) So it looks like a built in YIELD since it looks like each team has to take turns jumping which means perhaps a 30 minute gap between teams jumping (takeoff, jump, landing, reboarding, takeoff, eetc.)  So perhaps the first jumper is now going to be about 2 hours ahead of the others.  So no need for a YIELD here, since no body would gain anything.

Then into the National Park for the DETOUR:  SWIM (The Hippies and the Beach Bums) or BLOW (MO/JO and RaYoYo)  This would be traditional place for YIELD before last task before run to pit stop.

Where is the pit stop?

Who gets there first, and who are the three teams racing against eachother?

Who cares?

Its an NEL.

well MoJo shouldn't be the team that gets mugged and RaYolanda if in a foot race should be able to beat one of the 3 teams to the Pitstop in a footrace ......that leaves BJT or EJ , I'll guess BJT get mugged again but does it matter ? they have nothing anyway and made out really well begging ..

Onlookers at Adelaide Airport on Sunday wondered what all the fuss was about when a desperate-looking couple attempted to book a capacity Singapore Airlines flight.
They also happened to be young, good-looking Americans carrying only backpacks, with a TV crew filming their every move.
They had boarding passes for a flight to Sydney, and after being told the Singapore Airlines flight was full, they ran back to the domestic terminal (bet they're wishing the new terminal was in operation).

One thing that I would LOVE to do during my lifetime is to tandem skydive.  I'm envious of those who will be doing it but will love watching them.  Could you imagine if Frankenbarry were still there, Fran skydiving??

That still has me thoroughly confused, which is no great feat btw  . The promo shows Ray and Tyler messing with MoJo's head by saying that MoJo's cab was cancelled. Could MoJo then  be the ones who turned around and cancelled everybody else's cabs..??  :meow:

Excellent observation puddin. See, now I'm newly confused all over again. Just two (plus) more days and all the suspense will be over and hopefully the four teams will move right along. Then we, yes we all,  start this all over again..fun eh..   ??? :lol3: :jumpy:

Where is Chateau and his wonderful protractor and time calls?  Really could use some help in trying to put all the activity together on November 25 & 26 in Darwin.

Start times from Fremantle Sailing Club:

The Beach Boys:  11:30PM
MO/JO                11:30PM
The Hippies          12:15AM
RaYoYo                 1:00AM

Flight from Perth to Darwin leaves at 12:20PM and arrives at 7:05PM

Sunset at 6:26PM

Sunrise at 5:41AM

Crocodylus Park - dance with the crocs - early morning around 8:00AM - Possible YIELD

Coomalie Creek Airstrip, Batchelor, NT ROADBLOCK - about 30 minutes between jumps

Litchfield National Park - DETOUR - Possible YIELD

Running through Lost City - The Hippies - between 12:00noon and 1:00PM

Task #1 - SWIM - between 1:00PM and 2:00PM

Task #2 - BLOW - same

PIT STOP - NEL - Lost City,
                         Darwin
                         Who knows where and when

 My only way out guesses:  Drive in from the Airport on around 7 or 8 PM;

how about 2:30PM since the hour hand is shorter than the minute hand. So the blow task is after the skydiving task.
