I was looking at his pants too but for different reasons.

I don't understand the white helment either since he is shown with a red one at the waterfall. Perhaps the waterfall is just part of the detour and they also do some zipline at the same location (and the gear up at each section):

Alaya – Adventure Center
The Alaya Adventure Center offers programs for the entire family. It is comprised of five acres of land at the margins of River Jacaré. The main attraction is Verticália (acrobatic circuit) – 3 hr of adventure on the tree tops, passing through stairways, cables, suspended bridges and Tyrolese, amounting to a total of 35 different activities. With a kit (little chair, ropes and pulley) and under the control of specialized supervisors, the participant covers five aerial stretches, where the difficulty increases progressively. The course is open to those higher than 1.4 m tall, and functions all year around attending to tourists, schools and companies.

As far as the detour goes, could the turning sugarcane into ethanol be the other option? Some info on Brotas shows that agriculture is still their main economy and (I think) I found some sugarcane places around there -- almost every website is in Portuguese.

As for the episode title I'm putting my money on Lisa and Joni (I like to call them the Divas) saying it. They are shown to be funny and have some great one-liners.

edited: Then again, if EW article is correct about the ethanol then all teams would be doing it.

heres the thing , normally the clues are in order
do the teams drive the Beetles with the Ethanol to the pitstop ?
Or are the waterfalls last ?
Then teams drive to the pitstop where a teams battery dies ?
or is the team with the dead battery is ahead already causing other teams to wait at the falls while other teams pass them while they wait for the slowpokes to take their turn ?

but TAR8 the Paolo's we're invisable and the Rodgers we're eliminated so I'm not reading to much into the invisable theory this season , besides the Nerds Rocked !! unless they are the ones that were victim of a stupid battery dying

Yea but Paolo's were very visible in the scenes from next week for eppy two, so i think that balences it out, while that eppy the Rodgers were nowhere. But i really think there is no way to tell, because the Aiello's were very visible and they got eliminated.

Really in my mind the only teams focused were Danielle and Dani, and David and Lori becuase they actually i guess had a "segment" per say and last season that was Ron and Kelly and Rob and Amber. I really dont think either of these two teams go that far, but i think they will be round for a while, because i am getting a HUGE Kami and Karli vibe from the Dannies [5th place overall and dont be surprised if they come in 9th place tomorrow], and my guess is 8th or 7th for Dave and Lori.

Lisa and Joni/John and Scott will go 11th and 10th just like how i feel the hilbilies and Megan and Heidi did get a decent amount of scenes in that seasons preview. The only think going against LJ going out next is the past three seasons the second team eliminated has been invisable [Meredith and Maria, Megan and Heidi, and The Rogers]
