Unan1mous

:bliss: I beat Puddin on this  :bliss:

LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) - In a new reality series planned for Fox's
midseason slate, the competition for a big cash prize could end after one
episode or extend indefinitely, the network said Tuesday.

Premiering March 22 at 9:30 p.m., "Unan1mous" isolates nine contestants in a
locked bunker, where they vote on which one of them will win a $1.5 million
cash prize. The catch is that the longer it takes for them to decide, the
less money will be available.

The biggest wild card for Fox is that "Unan1mous" could conceivably end
after one episode, said Mike Darnell, executive vp alternative programming
at Fox.

"We don't know when it will end," Darnell said. "The biggest issue is it
could end at any moment."

"The fact that a network exec like Mike can step up and do this speaks for
itself," said J.D. Roth, one of the executive producers of "Unan1mous." "I
don't know anyone at any network that could try something like this."

Darnell would not elaborate on where or when the shoot for "Unan1mous" takes
place, only that it is "in progress." In keeping with its open-ended nature,
"Unan1mous" has no specific episode order from the network, though Darnell
estimated it could wrap in eight.

The contestants will include a broad cross-section of the country, including
a minister, an atheist, a ladies' man and a feminist. Each of them could
have secrets exposed that would influence the vote.

Each week, a contestant is eliminated from contention but continues to live
in the bunker and vote for the winner. During the series, the subjects have
no exposure to the outside world and are monitored entirely via cameras
hidden in the bunker.

"Unan1mous" was created by Lincoln Hiatt ("The Contender") and co-created by
Roth and Todd Nelson ("The Biggest Loser").

I like the concept of those voted out, still with the group. That will make for great drama. Still a little unsure how this would fair with the public though.

The intersting thing is that in order to win all people have to decide on one person to win.  Wow talk about major manipulation!

Yea, I think this will either be a trainwreck of a show or a major success.

I might take a look at the premiere to see if this is something that I'd consider a favorite.
I thought that when we fought, I was to blame
Now I know you play a different game
I've seen you dance with danger; still wanting more
Add another number to the score

I read somewhere they had secrets on the contestants and will possibly expose the information at some point in the game.

Another "open ended"  reality Bomb from Fox here folks much like Paradise Hotel and Forever Eden which I dont think ever even aired an episode. Hey atleast Fox reality will have something else to broadcast besides the constant Paradise Hotel.

Fox really knows how to pick these 'award winning' shows. Especially if they have found dark secrets about each of them and will expose them if they remain in the house. Dreadfull, how dishonest and tricky. The moral integrity has reached a new low at Fox. I can't wait for the show to begin.  :giggle:

Fox is a ratings nightmare essentially; AI does good, the OC did ok for a while, The simpsons has held stong through some bad seasons, fox actually canceled Family Guy probably the best show they have had on in a while.  Arrested Development was apparently great(i never watched) it tanked.  As for Reality they have never really produced good shows like ABC or CBS.

I think it's because Fox tries to come out with 'shocking' reality shows instead of trying to come up with quality reality shows.
