Have you guys read Phils blog.  It is quite interesting.  ALso gives us a little insight on aspects of production we dont get to see.

I really loved:
BJ and Tyler  - at first I thought they were going to be annoying, but no, they are intelligent and funny.

Lets see how thing evolve next week.  I cant wait.

thanks, puddin' darlin'.  I may play, though I don't have as much time to follow the usual great analysis here.  FWIW I did start playing the MW Survivor game, and have a whopping 1317 pts, so I'll continue solo so as not to drag down any league (I managed to stay unspoiled for a total of 2 episodes!).  It's worth playing just for MW's witty questions and answers.

rmax , ( i hope the team doesn't read this ) my scores are so bad for S12 MW that I'm playing solo too  ..no matter what team , of 4 or 3 players what ever the case maybe , I switch to its always the wrong choice so like you I don't want to drag the leagues down .

It's just so nice to see your name lit up rmax   :kuss:

When John/Scott abandoned their cab, they were next to a hardware store (photo below and website) that was on the opposite side of bridge from the Unique. Even though they were only a quarter-mile away from the Viaduto, they were right about one thing: their cabbie clearly didn't know what he was doing.

With an hour to kill due to a dental appt., I thought I'd have a go at the intro skyscraper. At first I assumed it would be the roof of the Adams Mark, but no. It's a black building with a "step" design (first photo). In the second photo, note the tilings as well as the two buildings on Phil's right: the D&F clock tower and Independence Plaza. Behind Phil's back is Mile High stadium in the distance (you can see it if you advance the video a few frames). Using GE and Emporis and Denver Skyscrapers, I've chosen Plaza Tower as the most likely candidate. Most of it fits: the exterior appearance, the sightline (photo below with the Plaza upper-right and the clock tower bottom-left), and the motley tiling (kmz attached). The building next to it is a bit troubling, but maybe it's shorter than the Plaza.

That's a freaky picture Slowhatch!

Look at the angles of the buildings in the upper left.

Now look at them in the lower right.

You found an image stich!

More recycling: the first two caps depict a team plane landing in Sao Paulo. Problem is, there's no runway 16R at any of the city's four major airports.
Toolbox question: does anyone know of a database of airline markings? I've included a detail on the plane's tailfin.

I got a computer "generated vibe" from this clip.

How could they get a camera shot from another plane that close to an aircraft that was about to land.  Don't pilots get nervous with other planes around?

That's a Continental plane.

A simple Google search of "runway 16R" reveals a lot of airports with that number.  Well at least Paine Field in Everett WA (Boeing), etc...  I suspect it's a Boeing promo clip, given the proximity of the camera on the chase aircraft.

Paine Field just threw this in for the kewl music

Boingo gets the credit for Paine field. So it's stock footage, then; I wonder if they'll be taking off from Paine or LAX when they leave Brazil  :cocky:.
About the greeter, there are a couple of possibilities:
  • Pacaembu is the home field of the Corinthians; I went through their roster but didn't see an exact match
  • The emblem on his trunks might be the Brazil national team; since he looks a little older, he might be a veteran from a past squad

For sure this guy is not Pele.  Maybe just a Brasil football legend.
