"Survivor: Panama" Posts Increases in Viewers, Adults 18-49, Adults 18-34 and Adults 25-54 Over "Survivor: Guatemala" Despite Increased Competition

"CSI" Delivers Its Largest Audience Since December (28 Million)

"Without A Trace" Crushes "ER" in Viewers and Key Demographics

CBS Rules Thursday -- Wins Every Half Hour in Viewers, Adults 18-49 and Adults 25-54

The premiere of SURVIVOR: PANAMA -- EXILE ISLAND dominated its time period in viewers and key demographics, topping last season's premiere of "Survivor: Guatemala" in the face of increased competition, according to Nielsen preliminary affiliate ratings for Thursday, Feb. 2.

SURVIVOR: PANAMA premiered with a time period win in viewers (19.34m), adults 18-34 (5.0/15), adults 18-49 (7.0/18) and adults 25-54 (8.5/20). Compared to "Survivor: Guatemala's" first episode the week prior to the start of the 2005-2006 season, SURVIVOR: PANAMA was up +5% in viewers (from 18.41m), +6% each in adults 18-34 (from 4.7/16), adults 18-49 (from 6.6/19) and adults 25-54 (from 8.0/21).

SURVIVOR: PANAMA beat "Dancing with the Stars" from 8-9 PM by +47% in adults 18-34 (vs. 3.4/10), +59% in adults 18-49 (vs. 4.4/12), +52% in adults 25-54 (5.6/13) and +1.52m viewers (from 17.82m, +9%).

From 9:00-10:00 PM, CSI finished first in households (16.9/25), viewers (27.99m), adults 25-54 (11.8/25), adults 18-49 (9.4/22) and adults 18-34 (6.6/18). CSI's audience of 28 million viewers was its largest since Dec. 8.

At 10PM, WITHOUT A TRACE won its time period in households (13.5/22), viewers (20.80m), adults 25-54 (8.2/19) and adults 18-49 (6.7/17). WITHOUT A TRACE beat "ER" by +48% in households (vs. 9.1/15), +14% in adults 18-49 (vs. 5.9/15), +15% in adults 25-54 (7.1/17) and +7.02m viewers (from 13.78m, +51%).

For the night, CBS was first in households (13.7/21), viewers (22.71m), adults 25-54 (9.5/22), adults 18-49 (7.7/16) and adults 18-34 (5.5/16). CBS won every half-hour in viewers, adults 18-49 and adults 25-54, five of six half-hours in adults 18-34.

Final Thursday ratings will be available this afternoon.
