SAN FRANCISCO, CA, United States (UPI) -- San Francisco Giants slugger Barry Bonds is apparently gearing up to star in an ESPN reality series, it was reported Thursday.

The weekly show will follow Bonds on and off the field, starting with spring training and continuing through the Major League Baseball season, The Hollywood Reporter said.

This is an important season for Bonds as he pursues the home run records set by Babe Ruth and Hank Aaron, The Reporter noted.

Sources told The Reporter ESPN has tentatively slated the show for 7 p.m. Eastern time Tuesday nights with reruns scheduled throughout the week.

The show has been cancelled by ESPN on the eve of showing the show where he hit the HR to break the record.  It looks like it was a battle over control of the show and ESPN just gave up and dumped the show. Couldn't have happened to a better guy!
