Gman, all I have to say is how next time my hubby and I take a vacation, you tag along as our photographer? You are an incredible photographer. Is it just a good eye and camera or just the camera? The pictures are so clear! Makes me think my dinky 5 pixel digital camera may not be the best :giggle:
Anyhow, thanks for sharing your awesome pics with us ;D

I think it is both having a good eye for what is photogenic and having a good camera. I still use old fashioned film (but the pressure is on to convert to digital) in two cameras: a Nikon N80 with a f3.5 28mm to 300mm zoom lense and a Nikon F70 with a f2 18mm to 105mm zoom lens. But the key for any photographer no matter what kind of camera is the lens; the sharper (usually meaning the more costly) the lens the better your pictures will turn out. The other key to success is keeping your camera steady when taking a picture. I note that most people with digital cameras (especially the smaller and less expensive ones) hold the camera at arms length and try to compose the picture by viewing the LED screen. This results in a very unsteady camera; the less steady a camera is held the less clear the picture. If you have a viewfinder whether or not it is SLR (like my Nikons) by holding the camera firmly against your forehead and keeping your elbows close it to the body (this forms a type of tripod) you will have a much sharper result. When using any long focal length lens (like my 300mm telephoto) always try to use either a tripod or monopod or brace yourself against a pole, wall or some other steady support. I hope this helps.
