Yes, it's close--maybe a match. Here's another photo of a guard on the official Putin page. I looked through the Kremlin photos trying to find a match for the railing and the building in the background, but no luck.

Kremlin Guards Dress like Cosmonauts for the Winter
Federal Guard Service workers, who are responsible for security at the Kremlin debuted their new winter uniforms yesterday, in this unseasonably arm autumn in Moscow.
The Voronezh clothing factory won the tender to supply the new uniforms. Sheepskin has been replaced by astrakhan fur. The service’s press service says that the new uniforms are more comfortable, lighter, warmer and more elegant, while still taking into consideration the ceremonial purposes of the guards’ appearance. The outer layer of the uniforms is resistant to all elements and made from the same fabric that is used for in preparation for space flights. The service’s spokesmen refused to reveal the cost of the new uniforms but said that they significantly increase the guards’ readiness for performance of their duties.

I sympathize. After two or three tries to get that link to the new uniform story, I gave up trying.
I've been working on cans the last half-hour and found some (more) confirmation for Thailand. Compare this detail of the mask cap with this photo in webshots (the can on the right). I don't even know what it says, but the script is a match.

I think there might be two legs in Russia and Brazil.

The colors are back to red/yellow they only changed the colors to throw people off because it was all in hte US so if a fan saw the cluebox they saw it was not red and yellow but yellow and white.

the plane in the preview is a 777. varig has differnt models of the 777 that have writing higher

I don't think it's a national flag; as I mentioned before, it might be the flag of the Kremlin guard or some other regimental flag. I ran it through the Flag Detective and the Flag Identifier without much luck. I might submit the cap to the people at the FOTW database and see if they know anything.

(How long has it been--TAR3, maybe--since racers were told to find a country represented by a flag?)
