The world's largest chair is located in Anniston, Alabama. "Civic pride pulls no punches in the giant chair battle. Not two, but fully five towns are involved, and at least four others joined the fight before being knocked out of the ring. The South watched and waited. Then, in the early eighties, Miller Office Supply of Anniston, AL, built a thirty-three-foot-tall office chair in a vacant lot next to its store. The chair was made of ten tons of steel, causing would-be vandals to throw up their crowbars in despair. It could withstand 85 mph winds and a special spiral staircase led to its seat. Here, at last, was a chair for the ages. It quickly became Anniston's landmark. The Chamber of Commerce flew visiting businessmen over it. But the nineties were not kind to Anniston. Miller's moved crosstown and put the vacant lot up for sale. The chair's staircase was removed. Its paint began to peel. And amid all this, rumors swirled of a Swiss chair -- larger than any built before."

So wonder if they go to Anniston or Talledega first. They are only 20-25 miles apart. Bet they have to find the chair which will give them the clue to the racetrack. I can't wait till we get clips from this episode. My hubbys from Talledega and we go there a couple times a year for visits. We're hoping to recognize some sites. There really isn't too much there but if they go to Cheaha Mt. we'll recognize it.

Where are they supposedly going after Talledega? New Orleans I hope.

Upon further review of the river pictures it definately looks like the Tchefuncte River to me. It's a beautiful river with lots of moss-draped trees. And, right there in Madisionville on the Tchefuncte is Fairview-Riverside State Park. Take a look at the boardwalk in the pic. Looks like a match to the one in vid. caps 18-22. If you look closely at pics 29 and 30 you'll see some Louisiana Bald Cypress trees in the water behind the big tree. Oh, and they have tent camping. Could this be a pitstop?

Can anyone enhance and read the highway sign in #36?
