I think I've made some progress on #20. Compare

the vidcap

with John Brunious, leader of the Preservation Hall Jazz Band

There's some pictures here

of the 2005 Junior League championship (same org., different age bracket and city). Click on Photo Gallery>2005. No matches so far; it may be a dead end.

puddin elimination theory: Black, Paolo, Bransen, Gaghan, Weaver, Aiello, Schroeder, Godlewski, Rogers, Linz
episode 2 has no pitstop; double leg; similar to TAR6 Hungarian leg
17. this is the Bransen family; so this scene is somewhere in episode 3-4
now if we can find the date of the Little League World Series, we might narrow everything down to what date and what state.

edit: the above looks like a football stadium and not a baseball stadium

this is the Little League stadium in Pennsylvania

21.

It doesn't look like a church; there's no cross; maybe it's a museum; there're nothing inside; it's empty

Here're some photos of the churches in the Sonora desert: http://parentseyes.arizona.edu/missions/San_Xavier.html

here's a Mexican flag

I'm leaning toward Sedona, Arizona as being the location for vidcap #3.

Does http://www.hiwestern.com/05-sedona-redrocks208.jpg look like one of the rock formations, only from a different angle?

I thought someone already said this but I don’t see it up yet:  # 18 is Old Faithful

I wonder if they archived these webcam shots?

And yes, I have been on a driving trip in Southern Utah and those formations look very familiar.  But it is basically in the area of the Grand Canyon because there is stuff like that for miles and miles (hours and hours).  Think of an area like New Jersey.

Monument Valley

And Slowhatch, you are awesome for finding John Brunious.

I’m trying to help out here. Not that I need recognition but I verified the Natchez riverboat and the bridge early on in this thread and located similar balloons in Utah. I started to wonder if my posts are being seen. Anyway, some comments.

Since we know they are going to New Orleans #17 could be the N.O. Superdome which I am familiar with. There is a mid-america gap so if they head out west after N.O. they may fly to Salt Lake City (Park City, Utah is 45 min. east of the SLC airport where the balloons are). The N.O. airport hardly flys anywhere but Houston, Dallas and Atlanta but it does have some Delta flights directly to Salt Lake City (we just flew there in August).

The canyons of pic #3 could be Sedona but I think it is probably Southern Utah (Canyonlands, Arches, Bryce Canyon National Park) since they are much closer to where they balloon.

edit: #17 could also be Talladega Superspeedway since Talladega was listed as a location. Hubby was born and raised there so I hope to see pics he can help with.

Yes thanks banzai!  ,,>( I really wasn't looking for my name in a credit but was wondering if my post were being seen.

Ok, #10 has really been bugging me. It's a decent size downtown but not New Orleans. The bridge in the distance (perhaps a train bridge) means it can't be the Mississippi river or any other one that has large ships go down it.

If they do go to New Orleans, wouldn't this give the Schroeder Family an unfair advantage?  I assume the trip itinerary has been worked out before the final teams have been selected.

Very much so and I don't understand why they would select a team from N.O. if they knew they were going there. I don't know what cities AR went to for auditions but there was a lot of advertisement and a big turnout for the auditions here in Baton Rouge. I can only guess thats why we have two Louisiana teams in the race. FYI, the audtions here were held on March 5th.

Good call on Sedona everybody.  And I have even been there.   |(  Just a longer time ago.  Here is a possible destination there.  Anasazi.

Puddin, I had an idea that the Little League players could be seen when the race goes to Panama.

The World Series is in August but TAR8 is in July. So the only way to see the Panama team is when you go to their country, right?

Exactly Banzai .. unless of course they were in some training camp in July but that would be Williamsport and of course we don't see any signs of that in the promo.. besides the racers wouldn't have enough time to travel out of the way ( a few hours drive ).

I agree that Williamsport is not the location of the little league team.

A couple more reasons:
Panama didn't make the World Series this year.

Any team at Williamsport wouldn't have a letter on their cap.

All players in the photos have special Little League World Series caps.

That certainly is Monument Valley, Arizona which is well known as it was the site of many a western in the good old days when westerns were popular: John Ford made many a film here.

That's not the Alamo, and it does not look like an active church so I lean toward one of the reconstructed old missions found around Tucson, especially in the Turnacacori National Historic Park and places like Calabasas and San Bernardino but I can't find pictures of these spots
