The Simple Life Gets Dumped By Fox
The Simple Life 4 has been plagued with rumors. Earlier this year, rumors surfaced that Nicole Richie would be replaced by Kimberly Stewart on The Simple Life 4. Fox later denied this rumor and pointed out that both Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie were under contract for The Simple Life 4.
More recently, rumors surfaced that the show would follow Paris and Nicole as they practiced becoming wives and mothers. This concept would have played well into the fact that both Paris and Nicole were engaged to be married at the time, but Paris wound up calling off her engagement.
Us Weekly broke the story on Wednesday that now The Simple Life 4 has been cancelled by Fox. Us reports that Fox said in a statement that they “did not see a place for The Simple Life on our schedule this season.'' Even though Fox pointed to lack of schedule room as the reason for the cancellation, Us reports that sources told them the cancellation was due to “Hilton and Richie’s inability to end their public fued” and because of nervousness about how viewers would respond to Richie’s recent weight loss.
According to E!, Bunim-Murray Productions and 20th Century Fox Television, who co-produce the show, are hopefully the show will continue on another network
