Thanks for the post Puddin, but it's a stunner to me.  Elephants mean either Africa or India.  How can that happen so fast?  Fron the opening sequence vidcaps, don't they have to go to England and Turkey first?

I thought for sure that either England or Turkey would be a double leg country like Hungary was last year.

Could be, but that's going to leave a lot of legs unaccounted for.  From vidcaps, we believe that the race goes to England, Turkey, Africa, India, and Jamaica.  If leg 7 is Africa, where do they go for all of the other 6 legs?

I don't know why but I really enjoy this speculation and detective work.

If March 29th program is a two-hour program does it cover two legs: Leg 5 to South Africa and Leg 6 to Botswanna? Or does the two-hour program count as only one leg in two parts like we had in Eger and Budapest, Hungary in TAR5? So the program on April 5 labled EP6 may be the one that they fly to India where we have established the elephants. I do not recall elephants being common in the game reserves of either South Africa or Botswana. So this would follow our spoiler information about flying with the teams to India as they finish a 3-day safari in Botswanna.

I think we can eliminate London and Turkey as legs in this race (Many thanks to the producers for leading us all astray). This leaves at least two or three episodes unaccounted for. Perhaps we should look again at Australia (Melbourne) and Tasmania (Hobart) as possible legs and Montreal which was mentioned a while back.

We all have been depending on the post from Jo-burg by the lady who claims to have met the remaining six teams (including Romber) in Jo-Burg and flew with them to India (a ten hour flight). But could this be a plant? Could it be that the teams actually will be flying to London after Botswana? and then on to Turkey AND THEN on to India?  Can anyone think of what could be referred to by "we have an elephant" if the teams do in fact fly on to London. Oh well, in a matter of hours we will know the answer to all this anyway. But as Prof. Higgens would say "it is a puzzlement."

G'man,  They could go to London (or Turkey) after India.  I think the spoiler of the racers flying from South Africa to India is true.  Remember in season 5 when they flew west to east from New Zealand to Manila.  That's a 17 to 20 hour flight. You could fly to London from India in about 11 hours. I don't know what's going to happen, but I can't wait.

One Team member hastily chooses to do a Roadblock that involves driving a stick shift through the African bush, and he has only driven a stick once before. Will he be able to complete the task?


Teams drive for miles across the African bush over rough and muddy roads. They encounter giraffes, elephants, zebras and hippos roaming freely all around them, causing everyone a little trepidation, but great excitement over their experience of wild Africa.

G'man,  They could go to London (or Turkey) after India.  I think the spoiler of the racers flying from South Africa to India is true.  Remember in season 5 when they flew west to east from New Zealand to Manila.  That's a 17 to 20 hour flight. Maybe I'm obsessed but I'm taking it as a very bad sign right now...
-Uchenna and Joyce are shown either leaving the pit stop or from last night's episode (also the croc river/lake/pond thing)
-Ron and Kelly are shown arguing (and somekind of Task that they have to finish with that log)

This sounds a lot like they are driving through the Central Kalahari Game Reserve which is not far north of the Makgadikgadi Pans National Park which is a dried lake and is where the spent the night sleeping on cots in the open (?) (No tents were visiable but I imagine they must have had a latrine and mess tent somewhere nearby.

Tensions of the Race bring out the worst in some Racers, on The Amazing Race 7, Tuesday, April 5 (9:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network. Phil Keoghan is the host of the series.

The strain of the Race is taking its toll on the teams, especially one Racer who reacts angrily to an unattractive side of her teammate. One team member hastily chooses to do a Roadblock that involves driving a stick shift through the African bush, when he has only driven a stick once before. Teams drive for miles across the African bush where they encounter giraffes, elephants, zebras and hippos roaming freely, causing trepidation, but great excitement over their experience in wild Africa.

A special one-hour retrospective episode will be broadcast on Wednesday, April 6 (8:00-9:00PM), which will include never-before-seen footage from this current edition, including an incident that leads to another head injury for a Racer, and two Teams getting friendly and sharing a hotel room together.

I'm thinking the Roadblock might be a driving course or something. The only one of the guys I can remember talking about not being able to drive stick was Ray - does anyone remember hearing anyone else talk about it? Actually if the jeeps last episode were stick the only guy it could be would be the brother that didn't drive last week - because all the other cars were driven by guys.

Um you are forgetting about Alex well unless you consider him a girl.  I have never seen him drive in any of the episodes and since Lynn has done two roadblocks in a row, Alex seriously needs to start doing some roadblocks soon.  In the previews I think Alex and Lynn are being shown during the roadblock challenge when they run over a stick and get a flat, Alex is driving. 


Who knows it could be Greg from the brothers - I have never seen a team with so much bad luck before.

In the CBS preview we hear "Greg we're such idiots" or something like that - I'm betting that it ends up being soemthing pretty small because they seem to be getting a bit of an come-from-behind edit.

Puddin you got it backwards, Brian is in the green shirt and Greg in gray.  Brian was in the blue shirt last week and he was the one who crashed the car.  The best way to tell them apart for me is that Brian is skinner in his face and body and has more hair while Greg has a receding hair line (poor guy), wider body and face.  It took me four weeks to figure out who is who.

The come from behind edit does sound promising but it would suck for them if they narrowly escaped elimination last week only to get eliminated this week.  I don't know but they are showing certain things about Brian and Greg in the previews for a reason. I hope they don't get eliminated. 

Puddin do you have any inside info on the upcoming episode.

I was just speculating that maybe the Bro's made a mistake again ..remember Paddle or Pedal ? They chose to pedal ..got a flat tire and looked pretty dumb when the other teams passed them on the river rafts . Also in EP 2 Shlep or Shop they chose the Shelp and ended up finishing next to last ..I just think that they don't think things through to well .

Puddin in your #49 reply where did that picture come from?  Is that Brian/Greg standing by vehicle reading a "route clue" and what is with the man on the bike in the background?  Police patrol who has given Brian/Greg a ticket for traffic violation? Through the windshield you can see another person  behind the wheel (right hand drive) holding a blue route marker. Two things to note: if this is one of the brothers it is the first time we have spotted them in a nice clean white shirt. Other shots of them in Botswana have them in grey and blue. Also this is a different type of vehicle than the ones they have been driving before (no snorkle on the right and no roof-line window). So it looks like we have at least two days driving around the game reserve (another night camping out?) which would tie in with the Jo-burg spoiler about meeting the teams after a "three-day safari in Botswana" Game reserve most likely is the Central Kalahari Game Reserve which is just north of the Makgadikgadi Pans national park where they camped out under the stars last week.

CBS and the producers have really gone out of their way to keep us in the dark about tonight's episode. Very little information has been given away in the various promos airing during the week. A lot, and I mean a lot, of shots of cars driving along dirt trails, across trackless plains, through croc-infested waters, and around herds of Zebras and Elephants. And only a hint that the Roadblock entails some task driving a stick-shift vehicle (so what else is new?). We have shots of Ron and Kelly dragging a fallen log out of the road, but is this task related to the Detour? They could have easily driven around the log but they stop to drag it somewhere. We have the boyfriends with a flat tire. So some big deal, just get out the jack and change it. We have Greg climbing up a silo or water tower while Brian reads a clue and says "Greg we are such idiots" (so what else is new?) Does this imply that they have read some task completely wrong and are in danger once again falling behind.  All told all of the players get some face time this week except for Gretchen. And we have no clue where the pit stop is located. Perhaps at some safari camp in the Central Kalahari Game Reserve. And CBS has been so uptight about what they have leaked this week are they preparing us for some BIG SURPRISE? Anyone have any other ideas about what is in store for us tonight?  I'm lost out there in the great African bush.

And CBS has been so uptight about what they have leaked this week are they preparing us for some BIG SURPRISE?

I do think something big and unexpected will happen tonight.  That something will want to make viewers watch tomorrow's recap show.  I can't see them scheduling a same week recap show following a dull episode.

Agreed pedaler.  My bold prediction will be a TBC (to be continued) following suit to TAR 6 superleg.  Followed by a recap show. That would be in sync with the # of epis vs legs vs NEL's to finish this season.

i'm having a similar thought with one team being in the bolo/lori omg will they or won't they catch up? though i find it hard to believe that it could be romber as they're playing smarter than most teams. maybe meridith and gretchen or the brothers? then wham, next week the big surprise.

I just watched Entertainment Tonight!!!

They had a short segment on TAR ...... Rob has trouble with some kind of task! It is carrying a basket of bananas on top of his head. But it keeps falling off!!! It could be the Detour, because Amber says for him to tell her now if he can't do it!!! So I guess they could go do the other Detour task if he thinks he can't do it!

Also, Ron tells Kelly to, "shut the f*ck up!" That is why she gets so mad at him, and calls him a redneck trash!!!  |(

And if anyone is interested, tonight's American Idol theme is Musical Showtunes!!!  <[/

ET said that Rob and Amber were doing a Roadblock, but this can't be since both members of the team are doing the task so it must be part of the Detour. Note that almost everyone else has not done this task or has not arrived yet since there are quite a few piles of items in a row behind Rob. Shot of Ron and Kelly stopping at a route marker on a tree branch. They open it but can't tell whether this is a Detour, Roadblock, or just minor task or route direction. Also note that they left the pit stop in first but caption on pix now says "currently in second place".  We see them later in a previous clip hooking up with logs and pulling them out. This might be the other part of the detour since both team members are in the car. Roadblock is something to do with one member of team driving a stick shift. Final confirmed for May 10. So schedule now is:

April 5 - Leg 7
April 12 - Leg 8
April 19 - Leg 9
April 26 - Leg 10
May 3 - Leg 11 (NEL)
May 10 - Leg 12 (Elimination) and Leg 13 = two hour finale

That makes Leg 8 the best bet for the other NEL

And we have two more YIELDS and one more FAST FORWARD to contend with. The question tonight is do they preview a trip to London or a trip to India?  Is our Jo-burg informant for real or just a hoax? If she is a hoax it spells trouble for Romber tonight! In about an hour and 25 minutes we will know if somebody has been pulling our leg for the last month or so.

Hi Fi: The trouble is that CBS until they gave stuff to ET had leaked nothing about tonights show like they usually provide all kinds of hints and using some rational thinking we usually map out the entire ep. Not so tonight. Yes it does look like L/A and Meredith are in the same location. And it looks like M/G are having trouble; so are Rob and Amber; so are Ron and Kelly; so are Brian and Greg. The only people who seem to be sailing through the African bus are Uchenna and joyce. Does that say that they will be first?  Couild very well be if anyone wants to bet on it. My guess also is that either M/G or Romber hit the dust tonght.

Just a gut feeling that it'll be M/G philiminated b/c they may be running out of luck.  With Gretchen's fall in the cave last eppy...could it be her injuries were worst than was revealed to us? 
Perhaps that slowed them down in this Leg?  Maybe that's why not much, if anything, about Gretchen in the previews/vid caps? I hope I'm wrong, but just have a bad feeling about it  |(  :':')
