...which implies that they remain in South America for at least part of Leg 4.

Makes me wistful for Charla/Mirna. "Do you think you can stick your hand up a cow's ass?"   ^/^

good call, they must be staying for that leg. i can see a few teams responsible for this one liner. mostly lynn and alex. but don't you think that it would be even funnier from the best friends, debbie and bianca? maybe the mom to the son? don't see this from one of the couples for some reason except for maybe the older folks.

and rmax, rotfl!!!! they absolutely must bring back charla and mirna for all stars if they ever do that.
always remember....when life hands you lemons, ask for tequila and salt and call me over!

Looks like pit stop number three is in Argentina.  That is another country.  South America is a continent and they could be in a different country for leg three. It looks like leg four will be in Argentina also.  Then perhaps on to Londontown.

Gaucho is also how people who live in the south of Brazil are called, so maybe they came here in Brazil...

NEXT TIME ON .. THE AMAZING RACE:

Phil voice: Rob/Amber attempt an aggressive move.
Amber, back of cab, daytime: If we caught up, they'd die!
Rob, driving: Who cares? They're striving to be like us.

Phil voice: Joyce takes a wild ride ...
Joyce gets tossed from a horse.
Uchenna, sitting on a haystack, grimaces.

Phil voice: ... while Deana breaks down.
Deana, tossed from a horse.
Deana, sobbing: I can't! I can't!
Ray, coldly: You either stay on that horse, or we go home.

This looks like another TAR twist: starting the day off early with a ROADBLOCK! We have two teams doing the task: Joyce for U/J with Uchenna sitting on a hay bale; and Deana for R/D with Ray giving her hell from the sidelines. So this sure looks like a ROADBLOCK. Check the sun which gives us some idea of the time frame. Behind Uchenna we can see the sun just starting to hit the top of the trees while the horse rink in the foreground is still in shadow as Joyce rides.  In the next sequence when Deana is riding the sun is out in full force and the shadows are almost directly under the horse. According to the almanac the sun rises at 6:20AM so it is now probably a little after that when we see U/J. The evening before the sun sets at 8:25PM and it looks like from the shadows that the first two teams arrived at the pit stop (L/A and U/J) in late afternoon maybe around 5PM. When Ray and Deanna arrived at the pit stop, the sun had set so it was after 8:25PM (M/G and S/P arrived much later when it was dark so it must be about 10PM for them. Now they may start off having to find a route marker first before going to the horse rink, or maybe they go directly there from the pit stop.

After that it is just speculation. Could it be that after the ROADBLOCK they are given directions to go to the Mendoza airport to catch a flight to LONDON? Maybe there are two flights of four teams each and they get the chance to sign up as they arrive. This would get our master game plan back in line with London the end of the fourth leg. There are flights out of Mendoza (MDZ) to Heathrow Airport London (LHR) via Buenos Aires, or Santiago, Sao Paulo, Madrid, and Paris. The first connecting flight leaves MDZ at 8:10AM arriving in London the next day at 8:10AM; or a flight at 9:50AM arriving in London the next day at 9:25AM or a flight on LAN via Santiago, Chile connecting to three different flights one through Sao Paulo, one through Paris and one through Buenos Aires all three arriving within 15 minutes of each other at 1:00PM the next day.

Until more vidcaps show up, we just have the first ROADBLOCK to reckon with. And it looks like it will start their day.

G'Man.  How about this for a bold move since Rob and Amber are so far behind Lynn and Alex?

Fly to London.  Lynn and Alex fly to Heathrow.   Rob and Amber get a much faster flight but it goes to Gatwick.  They then take public transportation to Heathrow.  Rob and Amber catch up even though they began the day hours behind.

Good observation....i bet they ahve to stay on the broncing horse for the 8 seconds....That will be hard.

according to your fligth info . . . .maybe rob and Amber rsik driving farther to get a better flight out of a different airport

{l{ it was a rush job banzai .. not too many clues . Lots of focus on Joyce ( shes safe) and Ray & Deana..sounds like they are in last place? Are the bus pictures recycled ? Maybe someone can see if they match up to EP2 when Rob bribed the driver lock the backdoors  {l{ .
The search for the right shipwreck in the photo must be the detour? ..I bet Gretchen & Merideth are the ones to find it first  {l{ ..so lucky .
also I wrote to Julie Chenn and am waiting for a reply about when the eliminated contestants will be on The Early Show .

In regards to The Early Show, CBS may have got smart and realized they were tipping their hand by having the eliminated couple on TES the next day EXCEPT for the non-elimination days. So if no bootees were promoed for the next day on Wednesday's TES we all knew that it was a NEL. Besides the interviews were pretty dull since they could not really reveal much that had not already been aired. So I think CBS just to keep us guessing just did away with the interviews and saved the expense of flying the teams to New York.

I have been thinking...What about Rob and Amber going for the fast forward?  Could that be their bold move?

night shot...is this because they left late the next day?  I will nto be sad if s/p are gone.....when is non elimination ususally? leg 4 or 5?

Note that Uchenna has a long-sleeved white shirt on in the last two pictures (#33 and #34) while he starts the day with a short-sleeved blue shirt. Leg 4 could be a Fast Forward with leg 5 the first NEL.

Lynn and Alex will leave the mat at about 3:20 in the morning. In the insider video when they are with Phil they say that they are leaving around 3:20.

I think the Shipwreck will be in Argentina...I looked "shipwrecks Argentine river" up and got http://gosouthamerica.about.com/cs/southamerica/a/FalFlkndIslands_3.htm I can't find a picture of the boat in the preview. Seems like shipwrecks are pretty common all around Argentina. One sight says Ushuaia is known for many shipwrecks. Also the Rivers Plate and Parana have lots of wrecks.
The Prana river runs right by Buenos Aires which would be an excellent place for the task because it gives them easy access to the international airport in the city.

I think that Ferris Wheel or whatever it is might be part of Parce de la Costa amusement part which is right on the edge of Rio Tigre see the map here: http://www.parquedelacosta.com.ar/shows.html
