Good idea banzai , lets keep the new rules in a seperate thread  ^&#

What more can they do to the last team in a non-elimination round ? I guess taking away there money was not to much of a punishment seeing as it always workied out in the end and no team was ever  stranded due to lack of funds . Maybe they can't ask other teams for money? But that hardly seems severe .. maybe an extra long time penalty ? or perhaps Phil makes them race with no pants ? {l{

Blue means the team was the last to arrive at a pit stop in a non-elimination leg of the race. This means that while they were not eliminated, the team was forced to give up all their money and did not receive any money at the beginning of the next leg.
Green means the team won the Fast Forward clue.
A yellow > means that team chose to use the Yield; < indicates the team who received it.
[edit]
Trivia
This edition features the first mother/son team
Season 7 features three reality show alumni. Engaged couple Amber Brkich and Rob Mariano both appeared on Survivor. Brian appeared on a Christmas episode of Fear Factor.
The quick 3 week turnaround time between Season 6 and 7 is due to two main reasons. First, the finale date co-incides with the May sweeps. Second, the early release was intended to ride the recent popularity of the show, despite the unpopular winners of Season 6.
[edit]
Race locations
Long Beach, California, USA is the starting point. All teams left on one of two flights from Los Angeles International Airport.

Peru – Lima (Plaza de Armas) - Ancón - Cusco - Huambutio  - Pisac - Cusco (Convento de la Merced)

plesae correct me if i'm wrong, i think i read somewhere that he talked so long that he didn't finish one of those gross eating challenges? he finished whatever it was but not in the time allowed. probably missed by a few seconds. and that he got upset and was almost escorted away?

I only watched the first 10 minutes cinni  {l{

Detour
A choice between two different ways to accomplish a goal or reach a destination. On the surface, one may seem easy but involves some sort of twist; the other may seem difficult but in the end may be the quicker choice.

 Fast Forward
Two pre-determined legs have one FAST FORWARD, which allows the Team that completes the FAST FORWARD task first to proceed directly to the next PIT STOP without having to do any further tasks, including DETOURs or ROADBLOCKs, on the way. The trick is that only the first Team to find and complete the FAST FORWARD on the leg may use it; any subsequent Team that finds it will have wasted their time and must go back and complete all tasks. In addition, a Team may claim only one FAST FORWARD during the entire race.

Pitstop
The final destination for each leg of a race, at which point a Team must "clock in." The last Team to arrive at most PIT STOPs is eliminated from the race. A Team will leave the PIT STOP 12 hours after they clock in; for instance, a Team that clocks in at 9 am will leave at 9 pm.

Roadblock TAR7
A task in which only one member of the two-person Team may participate; in most cases, the non-participant must wait for the participant to accomplish the goal.
RoadBlock TAR6 description ~

A task in which only one member of the two-person Team may participate; in most cases, the non-participant must wait for the participant to accomplish the goal. In previous races, Teams chose without restriction which Team member would complete the Roadblock. Now, no person can perform more than six Roadblocks on the entire Race.

Route Marker

Yellow and red flag that marks the locations of further instructions.

Yield

Each leg of the race has a YIELD point. Teams must stop at the YIELD location to do two things before continuing along the course: 1) They must check to see if they have been YIELDed by another team; 2) If no Team has been YIELDed, they must decide whether to use the YIELD or not. If a Team is YIELDed, they must turn over the hourglass and wait until all the sand runs out before they may continue with the race. A Team may use the YIELD to stop another Team only once throughout the entire course of the race. However, there is no limit to the number of times that a Team can be YIELDed by the other Teams.

wow thanks for posting the rules. i didn't see a yield in leg 1? does this mean that we'll be seeing them every leg from now on? i can think of one team that would sure be amusing to yield... even more amusing if they were yielded until they were eliminated.

Since no one used the yield in Ep 1 the editors probably edited it out in favor of other footage. It happened on a bunch of legs in Season 5 when they had yeilds on every leg.

note on the Roadblock..time to keep track ,same rules apply as in TAR6

A task in which only one member of the two-person Team may participate; in most cases, the non-participant must wait for the participant to accomplish the goal. In previous races, Teams chose without restriction which Team member would complete the Roadblock. Now, no person can perform more than six Roadblocks on the entire Race.

Should we start a thread that shows who completes the roadblock and update it each week?
