well, even if Romber does well, I wonder if MW will score them poorly, out of spite/hate? I made my picks too, similar to tanbuns, except I have 4 with Southern accents (agree, not all are annoying but MW may think so) and "There are no good Enron jokes"

I wondered about you Enron jokes, and didn't look to see if I could find any. I remember you came up with a good IKEA joke last time!

I also wondered about how MW will view/score Romber. I haven't actually made my picks yet, because I didn't want to commit to 4 teams!

I for sure want Debbie & Bianca. I think they will be a strong team evey leg, and finish top 3 (maybe first) this leg!

Despite my dislike of them, I wanted Romber, especially since they finish top 3 this leg.

I could also take Susan & Patrick, a top 3 team this leg. But I don't think they will be a strong team every leg, so I'm not sure I want them long-term.

I really like Ron & Kelly, and will probably have them as a team.

The only teams I know for sure I won't be having, because I think they will be weak, are Lynn & Alex, Megan & Heidi, and Meredith & Gretchen.

fwiw~ I decided on Bianca & Deb ( 1st place) Romber ( finish in the top 3) Joyce & Urcheena ( MW likes this type of couples , fun ..sweet ) & Patrick & Mom( because Patrick makes fun of Romber and MW will like that ..also finish in the top 3 this week)

I'll go watch the interviews later and check for accents .. I know that Kelly& Ron have an accent and Kelly as a pageant queen could be viewed as an annoying accent ..for sure we know Chuck & Ryan ..will let you know what I hear ]**]

Hey Spooky ..... to echo what puddin said, you pick 4 teams, and you gain (or lose) points according to how well they do each week. Obviously the first place team will probably score the highest, and the eliminated team will probably score negative points, but not always.

It is best to pick teams that you think will be around for a while. You can always change teams later, but it will cost you points to make a change.

About mid way thru the season, teams will drop to three. Then later to two, and then to one team for the finale!

I mentioned this in another thread, but I listened to the cBS video clips of the teams again, and Ryan & Chuck has strong southern accents. And I think Ron (from Atlanta) has a strong southern accent also, but may not be considered annoying to MW.

So my answer will probably be 2 or 3!

in the mediiia whore forum, there's an extra game being run by x_kicks for fun. we partner up and combine our weekly scores. lowest team, barring the non-elim weeks, is eliminated. last time there were fast forwards, boosts and yields. they weren't used much. puddin' and i managed to use the ff one week. i haven't read what the rules are this time but no matter. go on over and join up. bring a partner or make a new friend, like puddin' and me. (*( you can see who's already joined and who's looking for a partner.

team cinnamon puddn' made it to the final 4 teams. we're waiting for kicks to make the final update in the forum. i think puddin' finished #1 in the league so we've got a great chance of placing well.

You may not have found any good Enron jokes, but that doesn't keep someone from making one up, just to try and get the points for answering YES.

Example ...... "Why did the Enron executive cross the road? Trying to keep away from the financial auditors!"

Or how about this one .... "What's black and white, and red all over? An embarrassed Enron exective, wearing his prison attire!"

I know, not very funny! But those were just off the top of my head. If someone were to really think, they could probably come up with something funny!

Features of the Games

FF

It will be available on every leg of the race, except for the season finale. It overrides the yield. A 5% increase will be given to your team on the next episode for coming in first.

Yield

It will be avaiable on every leg of the race. You must be higher in average weekly score to yield another team. For example, if a team gets 235 in episode 5, you need to get above 235 in episode 5, to yield that team in episode 6. You can only use it on another team, not your own.

A yield will mean you get a 10% decrease for that episode's scores.

Please note the changes, as in the last season, the yield can only be used when the 'yielder' get a higher score than the 'yieldee' in the same episode the 'yielder' wants to use the yield, but now 'yielder' must have higher score than 'yieldee' in the episode before, for 'yielder' to use yield in next episode.

Boost

Same as yield. Except you will be increasing the score by 10% for that episode. It can only be used on another team, not on your own team.

Alliance Maker

You can go for an alliance maker, which is to combine scores with another team, and take the average of both teams' scores. Both teams will then share that average for that episode.

Like, Team A and Team B go for an alliance maker, and Team A got 50 points, while Team B got 150 points. Both teams will get 100 points for that leg.

In the case, in which after the alliance maker is used, both teams' score is ranked last, the team in the alliance with the lowest score will be eliminated, as it caused the alliance to sink.

Both teams must pm me to use this option, and state who is the initiator.

Alliance Breaker

Think someone is forming an alliance, so break them up. You can use this option to prevent someone from forming an alliance.

All features, except for the alliance breaker, can be used once throughout the race.

For the alliance maker, if Team A pm me to use the alliance maker with Team B, and states it is the intiator, it cannot use an alliance maker in future legs of the race. Team B, however, can use it in future legs, but not with Team A anymore, but with other teams.

For the alliance breaker, you can use it for every leg, but you cannot target a team more than once throughout the race. And if you have successfully broken an alliance, you cannot use it anymore. For example, you target Team A for episode 11. So Team A cannot form an alliance with anyone.

If Team A did send in an alliance maker, you are considered as successful. So you cannot send in future alliance breaker requests.

If Team A did not send in, you can only send in future alliance breaker requests for other teams.

All teams are to tell me your special relationship, and your team names. Suggestions for more features or modification to existing features are welcome too!

My picks..teams and thoughts follow just about everyone else's. Wavering on the last one...Enron..chose "Someone tells a good one," cause I have heard a few knee slappers..just can't remember them is all. ^/^
