Goverment Motorcade holds up Adam Beccas taxi  {l{

All four teams scatter and search for taxis to take them either 31 or 34 miles to the DETOUR.

Rebecca: Today is going to be a test of wills.
Kris: We're ahead of everyone. What goes around comes around. (Huh?!?) 

Rebecca, to her driver:
Hayden: We're getting taken on a goose chase! I need you to do something about it, Aaron!
Aaron: WE're at the mercy of this cab driver.
Hayden: You don't care?
Jon: We're at the mercy of the cab driver.
Kris giggles. 
Okay, I see the contrast. LOL.
NOW GET ON WITH THE RAAAACEEEE!!

Teams start to arrive at their respective destinations.
Adam/Rebecca arrive first to Spray.
Kris/Jon do Spray.
Freddy/Kendra do Spray.
Spraying, Aaron: Don't get it too thick!

First done, Adam/Rebecca, CLUE: Travel to the Terra Cotta Warriors Museum.
Phil: They were built to guard the first Chinese emperor. This is the greatest archaeological discovery of the 20th century.


In the cab, hugging Adam.
Rebecca: How'd we beat Aaron and Hayden!?!?

Man tells Aaron he's not done yet.
Finally they finish, in second.
Hayden is having a cow she's in such a hurry.
Hayden henpecks Aaron on their way out of the car place.

Rebecca, to driver: Why are we stopping?
Driver: Government motorcade.
Rebecca: We finally get a 10 minute lead and this? Now, no lead.

Cab troubles plague two teams.
Aaron and Hayden are lost.
Freddy and Kendra are lost.

Finally, Freddy/Kendra get to the museum.
Finally, Jon gets the CLUE.
"Make your way to Mount Hua."
Freddy and Kendra look for pit one and the TAR flag.
Kris: I wish we had more time to see it (the museum).
Jon: Cool! Like a whole army of statues!

Freddy, CLUE: Mount Hua.
Kendra: North peak!

Hayden: Where is it? We're in a hurry? That ride was a nightmare!
Finally Aaron/Hayden get inside and get the Mount Hua clue.

Hayden calls a taxi, but is stuck with the bad taxi.
Aaron: Use him. It'll take us 10 minutes.
Hayden: You sure? (to driver: Fast! Fast!)

Rebecca: Don't jinx us!
John: The language barrier. The language is very abrupt. Not at all like English.
Kris: Chinese is not a Germanic language!

In the lead, Adam/Rebecca get on a shuttle bus to the North Peak of Mount Hua.

Kris/Jon buy an entrance ticket as Adam/Rebecca's shuttle bus sits, parked.
Kris/Jon get on the same bus, much to Rebecca's displeasure.
Kris/Jon make a full bus, and it leaves.

Freddy/Kendra get on the next bus.

Hayden/Aaron having cab trouble. He's lost.
H: Are you kidding me?
Aaron: Get out.
H: No!
Aaron: We're getting out.
To a woman: Where is this (pointing)?
To the cabbie: You were going in the WRONG direction! Fricking China! Aaron, do NOT give him Chinese money! You got us lost!!
Cabbie touches Aaron's backpack.
Aaron: Do NOT touch me!
Hayden: Do you plan on walking? Any suggestions on getting a cab in the middle of nowhere?
Aaron: Give me your bag.

COMMERCIAL.

Hayden: Ugh!
Aaron: Here's a taxi. Here.
Hayden: We're in a hurry!
Aaron: If we're out, we're out. There's more important things in life.
Hayden: I'm sorry.
They hug.
H: I just can't believe we're done.
A: We'll try our best.


Adam/Rebecca and Kris/Jon hoof it to the gondola ride up the mountain.
Adam: Is it safe? 
Jon: Come on, honey! Let's go!
Kendra and Freddy make a run for the gondolas. They seem to make the same series of gondolas as the lead teams.

Kris/Jon run the wrong way up a ****load of stairs!
They turn around and go back.
Adam/Rebecca also went the wrong way.
Both teams double back.

Atop the peak after a zillion steps ...
CLUE, Freddy/Kendra. ROADBLOCK.
Which one of you is more methodical?
Phil: Take the unique key and find the specific lock that it opens, among more than 3,000 locks fastened atop this mountain by couples showing their eternal love. They must find it before the park closes, at 7 pm.
Kendra: Should I unlock one? You're kidding?
Freddy: Go thru each and every one!

Trying locks, Rebecca: It's nowhere to be found.

Hayden, to locals: Where is the SHUT-TLE?
She shows them a picture.
Hayden: Where is THISSSSSS? Aaron! I cannot take it! Where is the DAMN BUS!!!

Kris, Kendra and Rebecca try the various locks.
There are zillions.
Kendra: It fit inside, but it didn't turn.
Adam: One by one!
Rebecca: I have to be sane about this.

Hayden: Where is the SHUT-TLE? WHERE? I'm THIS close to quitting!!
They buy tickets, and get on a bus.
Woman: Wrong bus.
Hayden: Aaron! Do something!
 

Jon: Good job, sweetie! Nice job!
Rebecca: Such a tease!
Kendra: These locks are from the year two! Older than the hills!

Hayden: We buy a ticket from you (local)?
Aaron: I don't want to do this anymore.
They get on the shuttle.

Still turning locks ...
First open, Kris.
Kris, CLUE: Make your way to the pitstop.
Phil: They'll make their way to Xian by bus, and find the south wall battlement. The last team to check in WILL be eliminated.
Freddy: Kris/Jon have an angel sitting on them.
Jon: Kris has a great way under pressure!

Lock opened first: Kris/Jon.
CLUE, Head to the pitstop (Xian). Last team WILL be eliminated.

Second opening lock, Freddy/Kendra.

As Rebecca struggles, Aaron/Hayden arrive at the locks.
Frustrated Hayden tries to open a lock.
Hayden's key gets stuck.
H: I'm so mad I could use my teeth!
Hayden's key breaks.
She throws it down in disgust.

COMMERCIAL.

A/H have to go walk  back down the Mt to the reception desk for a new key
Becca still working on the locks

K&J arrive first

Adam tells Becca to stop being a baby  {l{

Haydon gives up..they quit

Hayden: My key broke in half.
Aaron: Omigod.
Hayden: What if you need another key?
Aaron: Go to the reception desk at the North Peak hotel.

Rebecca, relieved, takes her time with the locks.
Adam encourages her.

Freddy/Kendra and Kris/Jon making their way to the city of Xian.

Adam: Every single one!
Rebecca: Don't start with me or I'll throw you off the mountain!
Adam: Keep going!
Hayden starts again.
Aaron, conf: It's so frustrating for me not to just jump in there and do it.

Footrace to the pitstop ...

Man: Welcome to Xian, China.
Phil: Kris/Jon, you're team #1. You've won a vacation to the sunny Caribbean. Congratulations. You're one of the final three teams racing for $1 million dollars.

Phil: Freddy/Kendra, you're team #2.
Kendra: Yes! Yes!
Phil: Congratulations. You'll race to the finish line.
Kendra: He promised final three! He's my little hero

Rebecca: I've been doing this for three hours! I'm officially insane!
Hayden: This is for you, babe.
Adam: It's 6:33! You have to find it before 7:00!
Rebecca: I'm destroying my fingers! I dont think I'll ever be a hand model.
Aaron: Try.
Hayden: I'm stupid. My fingers are bleeding. I've been here for how long? I'm THIS close to stopping.
Aaron: I'm okay with any decision you make.
Rebecca: It's unnerving.
Adam: Stop being a baby. Just get it done.
Hayden: I'm trying as much as I can. It won't budge. This is very frustrating.
Rebecca: I can't feel my fingers.
Hayden: I'm done.
Aaron: We're done. We're giving up.

 

Rebecca's lock finally opens ... it's almost 7 pm and Adam/Rebecca head down the hill.

Hayden/Aaron walk off in disgust.
Hayden: We're taking the penalty.
Aaron, CLUE: Make your way to the pitstop.
On the gondola ...
Hayden: I lost it for us.
Aaron: No you didn't.
H: Yes I did. I didn't know how to put a key in a lock and open it.

Night falls.

Haydon Aaron arrive 3rd but because they took the four hour penalty for not removing the lock..Adam & Becca are team #3

Both teams arrive together, running.

Phil: Hayden/Aaron, you're the 3rd team to arrive, but you've been penalized four hours.

Phil: Adam/Rebecca, you're the last team to arrive, but because of their penalty you're still racing for the $1 million prize.

Aaron: I have something to ask you.
Hayden, as he gets down on a knee: No way!
Aaron: I've been wanting to ask, will you marry me?
Hayden: Of course I'll marry you! I love you!
Phil: What do you love about her?
Aaron, sobbing: She's a wonderful person. I love you so much, Hayden. I'm so happy right now. Screw everything else. This is all that matters.
Hayden, conf: This was the adventure of a lifetime. We want to be together forever, which is the best thing a girl can ask for.
