A/J realize sisters beat out D/I.

There is a signup board for flights to Port Carling.

Teams leave the airport to the Executive Terminal- first time a city gets 4 different legs with tasks/RI's in one race.

Sisters lose their clue and do not know where to go. THey search the cab's phone.

Race to the terminal between the other two teams, A/J beat them and are on the first one.

The sisters head back to the airport to loko for the clue as they don't remember.

Sam on his third attempt and doesn't get it.

Lauren almost got it!

James on his 7th attempt gets it!

S/S right behind in second. Not sure if the editing made it seem closer than it was but not sure.

L/J arrive in third to the mat.

Both teams comment on the race.

Finish with all teams embracing.

All teams clap at the pitstop and that's it. Finishes with a in memory of Kennth of S5 who passed.

And that's it for Season 7!

Thanks Leaf!!!

 :conf: :conf:

The finale was okay!
Except the waterjet task, I didn't feel like there was much chance to overtake anyway (Or maybe it's just because teams were good and finished in the same order).

The game show task was okay! We didn't see all of it so it ended up being a bit random, as team left in the same order.
The other tasks were okay, nothing wow, but not bad also. I prefer big city finale (S1/S2/S4/S5) than quiet ones (S3/S6/S7)

Starting with the positive:
I really love how TAR CAN tends to pack their final legs with a lot of challenges.
Although imperfect, I really liked how they built that memory challenge.

Though have to agree that despite the many challenges, there was actually very little space to allow teams to shift placements, once that was set, as we saw there were no placement changes throughout the leg, as much as editors tried to show that teams were close-ish to each other.

Overall an OK season, with some interesting teams, though other than Dave and Irina (who I still not a fan of, but have to agree they are great TV), no one particularly memorable.

Wow! What a finale!

Congratulations to Anthony & James for winning the season!

Enjoyed the Santa's Village and the chair building was quite funny! All other tasks were quite good, expect for Jetpack one, that was boring! Also, I didn't like how there was very little space to allow teams to shift placements, as other members have said!

I was surprised by how much I enjoyed this season! When the season was filming, I thought it wasn't going to be a good season at all!

Bring on TAR Canada 8 in 2020! <3  :conf: :cheer:

They shouldn't do memory tasks on the finale anymore. All the teams expect it now.

I really enjoyed this one. The concept of a "Cottage Trivia" game board didn't escape my notice, as game boards are a cottage staple. And Jon acting as host was amazing. I also liked that it was at the beginning of the leg. My only criticism is that maybe the questions could have been a little harder.

Overall I really liked this season and the cast. The finale felt exciting, but I think we should give much credit to the editors here because if you scratch on the surface you find a slightly different story.

Firstly the show spent a sizable chunk of time on Lauren & Joannes lost clue in Toronto. What they did not show was that there was almost certainly an overnight rest here. That is the seaplanes took off in the morning the next day. So no matter how much time they spent looking they just ended up on the last plane and did not really loose any additional time.

On the main race day the team positions never changed. Anthony & James were on the first seaplane and they stayed in the lead the whole day. It looks like Sarah & Sam completed the task in the Santa's village just after them but we never see them in the same shot at the big man so I am pretty sure they actually were a bit behind.

At the irrigation task we only hear that the first two teams see each other, we never see them in the same shot so we can not see how far ahead Anthony & James actually are. Of course we see both teams get their next clue at the same time but this very much feels like editing. I did not get the feeling that Sarah & Sam really though they could catch up to Anthony & James in the final trip to the pit stop, which by the way was almost a hour away.

All that said I still think it was a good finale. While the tasks may not have given the racers much time to get ahead I think all of them gave racers plenty of chances to fall behind. That is you can not really complete them much faster than a certain time and the teams were close to that. There is of course potential to mess up but we did not really see that either.

So a big round of applause to the teams which managed to get here and did a good job in the finale  :conf: :conf: :conf:
