Does it annoy anyone else that 10 are trying to pass off that this is the first TAR Au season? :groan:

Even the racers themselves are referring to it as Season 4 on social media!

A little, since Australia 2 is about the greatest non-US season that ever happened. Just because the network changed doesn't mean they should forget their past.

I mean Australian Survivor on channel 10 didn't aknowledge first 2 australian seasons at all, lol. They made All Stars recently and no one from frist 2 season was asked back.

Nice - 2 Nights a week. Just like the recent airings of Australian Survivor, right?
Sadly I haven't been able to track down a new source for live streaming, Network Ten content.

I love all the promos introducing the teams - whoever wrote them has a great sense of humour. For example, the alpaca farmers saying they know animals and he falls off the camel, Amani saying she'll have trouble with food challenges and there she is having trouble, and the last couple promo'd where she's scared of heights and won't jump out of a perfectly good airplane and there she is skydiving  :funny:

1 leg = 1 episode?

Because this season will be quickly over with this schedule then, lol. It will start 28 October and finish 3 December.

Yep, I think this is most likely. This type of stripped reality programming is pretty common with 10 - similar to how they adapted Survivor. Also, this fits with having double legs in most countries to have a 'South Korea' week and a 'Mongolia' week etc.

They did a fantastic job with Survivor so I have high hopes in terms of the editing and overall production value, although we only have an Asia/Africa route this time.

What the hell, they are REALLY late on spilling the last 4 teams. The show's only a week away now!

I always thought the norm was at least 2 weeks in advance of the premiere, so they have time for interviews and all that. Those poor racers...they can't tell people they're on the race until the show does first :P

Yeah, it sucks. I wish there was at least some pattern of revealing these teams... Like one per day or something.

This is last week and 4 team were not revealed yet. Imagine if one of these 4 teams is eliminated in 28th or 29th October episode. I would feel really bad for them. Only 10 or less days of "fame".

This is one of the most unique cast we had in years.  :cheer:

My only complaint is that all 3 MM teams casted looks SO STRONG comparing to other teams. One of them are professional athletes, other are personal trainers and 3rd one looks fit as well. They better be fun and not boring racebots.

Also Alana is remind me someone looks wise... Any idea who?

https://www.smh.com.au/culture/tv-and-radio/australia-meet-australia-diversity-is-the-winner-on-amazing-race-reborn-20191021-p532sq.html

"Filming took him to places he’d never been before – Africa was a great favourite, China not so much – though he was rarely still long enough to savour it."

This article mentions CHINA as a destination - possibly transit to Mongolia? Is China our unknown eighth country? I'd be slightly disappointed if it was though as TARAu has already been to China twice and we already have heaps of Northern Asian countries this season...

Here's a great little article from a few months ago! This is what got al of our excitement levels going!

Quote
Are you ready?

That's right, 10's bringing back everyone's favourite high-paced, high-stakes adventure reality show, 'The Amazing Race Australia'.

Beau Ryan -- TV's loosest unit -- will host the show, as we travel to every corner of the world and watch contestants do whatever's necessary to be the first ones at the finish line.

“I’m really pumped to be hosting one of the biggest franchises on Australian TV," said Beau.

"I jumped at the chance to combine two of my favourite things, people and travel. I can’t wait to get started. May the best team win!”

Here's the thing. They're still casting the show, so if you feel like you've got what it takes, you could be one of our Aussie hopefuls who takes out the $250,000 cash prize at the end.

You'd have to be a savvy traveller and a light packer, so no travelling like a Real Housewife!

You'd have to use every travel tip in the book and then some, and to be able to navigate planes, trains and automobiles as you race around the globe.

And finally, you have to be competitive. Like, really competitive!

The point is, it's going to be a blast, whether you're racing to the finish line or watching our contestants scurry all over the place from the comfort of your own home.

'The Amazing Race Australia' is coming soon, only on 10 and WIN Network.
