An interesting thread on facebook regarding teams of twins cast for the shows:.

Including the upcoming season of TAR Canada there will have been 4 seasons with a Twin Team.

In Canada we have a twin birth rate of about 2.1% (from Stats Canada, https://vanierinstitute.ca/facts-stats-multiple-births-canada-2017-update/ ) However the rate of twins in TARC is more than double that at 5.5555%.

Season 1: Treena & Tennille - twins
Season 2: Pierre & Michel - twins
Season 3: Twin break... but Gino and Jesse could pass for twins
Season 4: Rita & Yvette - twins
Season 5 & 6: another twin drought
Season 7: Meaghan & Marie

So TARC casts twins at more than 2.5 times the rate of twins in our population AND over 66% of TARC seasons have a team of twins (4/7 episodes). It seems like someone in production really has a thing for twins!

In 31 seasons of TAR US there have been 9 Twin Teams (Natalie & Nadiya counted twice)

TAR 2: Shola & Doyin
TAR 3: Drew & Derek
TAR 5: Kami & Karli
TAR 19: Liz & Marie
TAR 20: Elliot & Andrew
TAR 21 & 24: Natalie & Nadiya
TAR 22: Idries & Jamil
TAR 30: Eric & Daniel

Approx 521 racers total. So 2.7% of TAR racers have been twins. (9/31 episodes)
