Teams must now go to the pitstop by rowing across the bay.
If i was T/K I would leave the victory to N/V lol 4 in a row gives you a big target.

L/J miss again.

Race to the pitstop between the first two teams
Victor is rowing alone lol

T/K are first again,
V/N in second

Lots of Dalmatian Dogs at the pitstop haha

Floyd doing the roadblock.
He did some marching in college so he thinks it will help him.

He gets it on the first attempt! wow!

B/C got the poem wrong,
L/J missed their 10th attempt
C/C on their fourth attempt, they get it! in fourth place!

Leo and Jamal are arguing

Team fun is team # 3 at the pitstop!

Leo and Jamal get the poem task after 11th attempts. In fifth place.

C/B are last...

C/C forgot their gnome at the detour. oh oh must go back.
C/B are doing their sixth attempts of the poem...

and we are back....

C/C are not giving up
C/B missed their 9th attempts of the poem...

L/J fourth at the roadblock, Leo is doing it

Miss his first attempt
C/C get their gnome, their realize C/B are still there

C/B get it on their 12th attempt.

Christie is doing the roadblock
Leo and Christie are working together like Nicole and Korey
They get it on the first try, they hug it out.

Leo say: don't forget your gnome haha

C/C are fourth to the pitstop
L/J are fifth

We see Brett get it on the first try (probably was not)
C/B are done!

That ending was a bit rush.... lol

What a leg!  It's a true testament to task creation that the flight order didn't really matter for the elimination

Phil asks them what they will remember of this experience:
They will remember how difficult it was but so rewarding
Their friendship is stronger, they met on Survivor but got to live a second incredible experience together
The bromance is exciting for some beers hahaha

Next time....

Show content
Next week, on The Amazing Race, teams go to the Netherlands.
Teams are up a creek (Teams are showed on boats)
as the DOUBLE UTURN RETURNS
L/J: If there is a spot to Uturn somebody, it will be Nicole and Victor, REVENGE!
Which pushes team to put the pedal to the metal
Teams on bike, and we have a switchback to TAR 12 with the pole hoping

Thats a wrap!  :conf:

One of the best legs in recent memory!
Hard detour, hard roadblock, 2 route info, and a task to get to the pitstop.

That was great! Next week loos good also  :cheer:

I think this was the best designed leg since TAR 29's Greece. For the first time I think this season, the tasks felt brand new and not like a rehash of previous tasks (yes, even the seemingly impossible needle-in-a-hay-stack Detour felt new). It really felt like a first-time visit to Croatia but it wasn't.

1. Tyler & Korey - They should've given 1st to Nic & Vic seeing there's a U-Turn on the next leg (but they obviously don't know as much as us viewers lol) but it doesn't seem like they're on anyone's radar even after four consecutive 1st place finishes.
2. Nicole & Victor - Even though Team Fun didn't really cut, I liked seeing them make a "comeback." They've had a rough few legs.
3. Becca & Floyd - I think this leg would've been theirs if their flight wasn't delayed. I think it's kind of hilarious how both of them can apply their real life skills to the most random challenges every episode lmao.
4. Colin & Christie - starting to see them as less dominant and just more consistent/level-headed. Nicole & Victor came close to 1st more times than these two ever have all season. Also, I was excited to see Christie do this Roadblock on her own but her and Leo working together ruined it lol.
5. Leo & Jamal - what were they getting wrong at the Detour? I thought they were doing fine ??? They continue to amaze me week after week, with how after dominating the first two legs, they are like, a weak team lol.
6. Chris & Bret - As much as I liked these guys, they deserved to go. Blowing a near 3-hour lead on a Detour?!

The rushed editing at the end ruined what was a really good leg. We could have done without 500 poem attempts and had a nice, suspenseful race to the mat. I will somewhat let it slide since Leo and Christie worked together at the Roadblock (and Chris & Bret were that far behind) and killed the suspense for the editors. How epic would it have been if all Leo, Christie, and Chris did the Roadblock at the same time though.

Oh, and airport drama. :conf: There is absolutely no way the editors could have left all of this drama out lmao.

LEG RANKINGS:
9 > 4 > 2 > 8 >>>> 7 > 5 > 3 > 6 > 1

It's so great seeing airport drama return to TAR. If only they can do this on every leg where teams need to fly somewhere. The two short ARI tasks before the Detour were fine. Serving up drinks, and doing something with the gnome were fun little tasks. The Detour was great and challenging. The treasure hunt Detour was basic, but had challenge to it. The Raft Poem Detour was great, but the episode took too much time on it. The Roadblock was fun to watch (especially for the visual). Also two Pit Stops in a row where they have to use boats to get to it is a way to spice things up.

Rating: 4/5

Teams I like:
Colin & Christie
Becca & Floyd
Nicole & Victor

Teams I'm Meh on:
Chris & Bret
Leo & Jamal

Team I Don't like:
Tyler & Korey

What a leg!

Airport drama returning! <3

That Detour! <3 (I really need to go tubing again soon, this has given me inspiration!)

That Roadblock! <3

This is the best leg of the season to date!

(Oh and by the way, Tyler & Korey won a trip to Mexico for coming in First Place for this leg!)

Much that was good on this leg (the detour, plane drama, forgetting the gnome, locations looked decent), though that was undermined by teams helping each other at the roman soldier challenge which meant that ending would have no drama.  Much better to have teams wait in line and do it on their own.  The poem seemed made up for the leg, I'm sure some would prefer if it was a Croatian poem to link to the locality.

Just watched this episode, loved it, best episode the season
 :luvya:
The return of airport drama (even though i believe racers are not allowed to change flight like classic TAR)
The detour equally hard
Cool roadblock (i love Roman)
B/C eliminated. sayonara  :waves:

My only complaint (minor) was the editing at the end of episode, a bit rush.

I wonder if Chris and Brett regretted not Uturning a stronger team now.... they may still be in it if Rachel/Elissa were there. (or maybe not who knows...)

I don't think they would be.  They just couldn't get their act together and commit to a detour.

What a beautiful leg :luvya:

Beautiful locations <3, airport drama <3, great tasks <3, and those Dalmatians at the Pit Stop <333

I'm surprised by how hard both Detours were. I think this might be one of the hardest Detour to complete. Seeing even no one (even Colin & Christie) cannot complete the snorkeling task, I wonder what would happen if that task is a Roadblock instead? We might see some penalties happening there.

While watching the first half, I really wonder what happened with Chris & Bret, they're in first place when choosing the Detour. Turn out it's because they're changing Detour three times. I think if they picked the poet task in the beginning, we might see the elimination of Leo & Jamal in this leg.

What I don't really like was the editing. Near the end, the editing seemed too rushed. We almost didn't see Colin & Christie vs Leo & Jamal in a boat race. And the elimination of Chris & Bret didn't really leave a memorable impression because it's really rushed for me.

But anyway, I still think this leg is the best leg of the season so far. I hope this continue to be better and better in upcoming legs! :luvya:

I don't know, if L/J and C/C were the last two teams, then they would not work together I imagine, so it's who ever finishes the roadblock alone first.

If Chris and Bret stuck out the one Detour, who knows what would have happened? They already had the goblet and two coins.

Yeah, also with C/C forgetting their gnome in the Detour, we also might see their elimination. :o

Colin and Christie were very lackluster this leg. Screwed over by flights (their first time in 22 legs I think, if you want to discount the Auckland-Manila flight which bunched them up), last at the first two tasks, lost their gnome.. They were so off this episode. However, at the same time, they always manage to catch up and snag a top 4 finish.

And with that, they have been in the top 4 for 20 consecutive legs (of which 18 were in the top 3). I am kinda sad that they have no shot of overtaking Jet and Cord's record of 20 legs in the top 3 (though C and C will do it in 2 seasons instead of 3)
