I hope the cast is great because that route is meh, at least it's mostly new region but still..

Out of the 3 BC legs, I probably would have eliminated the Revelstoke one for one more QC leg ,  and change Muskoka for Newfoundland

Agree 100%. Maybe either get rid of that Toronto start, or have a true live start a la TAR. It would have been the perfect opportunity to do it.

I think I'm most disappointed with the Muskoka finish. Don't get me wrong, it's beautiful there, but I'm not sure it could support a TARC finish line. And on Victoria Day Weekend, it's just Toronto transplanted. Possible tasks: returning your two-fours to The Beer Store; waiting in line to refill your propane tank; and dodging the pterodactyl-sized Blackflies.

Iím pretty sure by having an all domestic route they saved a lot more money and hopefully thy can venture out with some more international destinations next season, but itís TARC so highly unlikely lol

Unless another major sponsor, that would like to promote overseas travel for Canada gets involved, it does seem to make International legs even more unlikely.

FF team in Final 3!

Another interracial team makes the finale again!
I've been looking all around for that confirmation.  Who are the F3?  You've got Sam & Sarah, either Lauren & Joanne or Marsha & Kali, and who else?

There is no Marsha and Kali! It was a mistake. Team 3 is Lauren and Joanne and they are in final 3 with James and Anthony and Sam/Sarah

TAR Canada as a whole is irritating.  :funny: :groan:

 B:)

Pardon?

Half the TARCAN seasons to date are quality (1/2/4), so the franchise as a whole can't by definition irritate.

It would be so cool if they added Canadaís Choice in other seasons like let us pick a destinations in the season and if they make an all star season let us pick some teams

I can't wait for the cat ladies in Facebook to complain about the abundance of Ontario teams and that their province is not represented.  :funny:

I saw one under Sarah & Sam's post already. Voting Jet & Dave in added one, since Frankie & Amy are from BC and Brent & Sean are from Nova Scotia.

Yup, the First Nations team. And 2 more F/F teams we didn't know the identities of.

So it's anyone's guess until tomorrow :)

*** LAST THREE TEAMS

Based on their intros only Sarah & Sam and Jet & Dave have "Second Chance" stories. I hope more info comes out about this soon or what was the point of the "Second Chance" angle?

Trish & Amy
Driven, stay-at-home mothers and friends who bonded over their love of triathlons.

Lauren & Joanne
Fun-loving and enthusiastic sisters who become the raceís first team ever to hail from Saskatchewan.

Gilles & Sean
A fun-loving grandfather and grandson who enjoy nothing more than being outdoors.

**Anthony & James
A married couple who want to be positive role models for Indigenous youth

Sarah & Sam
Determined teammates and friends who fought their way back from near career-ending injuries.

**Meaghan & Marie
Resilient twin sisters, who are business partners and best friends.

**Nekeita"Niki" & Aisha
Spirited friends who have been besties for 17 years.

Dave & Irina
Intensely competitive married couple from Quťbec, who now live abroad.

Jet & Dave
Unforgettable best friends who competed on Season 1, and were voted back into the competition as part of Canadaís Choice.

I say the twins also have a second chance type cause one of them did break their neck and for the grandfather I feel like he has a second chance kind of a life, getting out there at 65, fresh start

This observation was just from their initial descriptions from CTV. When you see the various interviews their back stories come out. ie: the twins mother passed when they were 14 years old, Gilles took over a lot of the parenting responsibilities when his daughter had Sean at a young age.

Gotta admit, even if the route is mediocre, this looks like a pretty top-notch cast.

This cast reminds of season 4.

Raptors winning is a good omen for the season I think.  :cheer: Especially when the Starting Line was in Toronto too!

I feel like we need to bring this post back up!

I really like this season so far!!!  :conf: :conf:

Teams: 9.5/10

The teams are really really good this year. Great diverse cast from all over Canada (We are just missing a teams from Northern Canada and it would have been a homerun).

Teams I love: Aarthy & Thinesh / Anthony & James / Jet & Dave/ Lauren & Joanne
Teams I like:Meghan & Marie / Trish & Amy/ Nicki & Aisha / Gilles & Sean
Teams that are bit bland: Sarah & Sam (but it might change base on the preview)
Teams I love to hate: Dave & Irina

I have to say thank god for a team like Dave/Irina. As much as I don't like them, they are the much needed villains we needed. And I think people will be satisfied at the end of this.

Tasks 8.5/10

The tasks this year are pretty good also so far. I love the self driving aspect, which cost two teams the race already.
Lots of sport/outdoor related task so far, and only 1 dance task lol

Location: 6.5/10

Meh, Canada only is a bit disappointing. BUT.... the locations so far have been great
My only problem with the overall route is the 3 BC legs, and 3 ON legs, I feel like they could have balanced it a bit more.
Hope they add international legs back if we get more seasons. Like even just a quick leg in Windsor/Detroit could work.

Twist:

I love the One-Way twist, and it played out perfectly in it's first try. I feel that later in the race, when teams know a bit more about each other's weakness, it will work ever better. Hope if there is another one, it will not be a blind one-way.

Idea of twist: In the description of next week's episode, they mention a diamond roadblock. I think they meant a diamond related task roadblock. But it gave me an idea for a twist. Imagine if the winner of a leg wins a diamond roadblock, which would give the teams a chance to switch teammate for a roadblock, only once in the race. So ex: In season 2, episode 5 in the Yukon, had Cormac/Nicole won the diamond roadblock, Cormac could have replace his mother while she was struggling with the gun task. It's not as powerful as an express pass, but it could help a team who is stuck because they didn't pick the right person to do a task. (Maybe it could be given for the winners of leg 2, rather than give them a third express pass like this season).

4 episodes into this Season 7, I have to admit - this season, the cast, the tasks, it has not been as terrible as I expected when we tracked its filming. The route is domestic, sure, but they seem to have stepped it up from Seasons 5 and 6. I'm surprised.

Bungee jumping off a bridge and a cave descent, even that third BC leg next week doesn't look that bad in the preview.
