Guys, this is not a wishlist thread. Revelstoke and Waterloo/Kitchener are last minute replacements for pre-planned international legs.

I think the Nanaimo leg was the replacement as they had gone there last season - the locations are within 20-60 mins away from each other - Nanaimo, Coombs, Chemanus, Cowichan Valley

hmmm just speculation but three ontario and three bc legs is a lot but they could have been easy replacements for international legs! What if the route was supposed to be this and the intl legs were cut last minute!
1. BC
2. BC
3. AB
4. NT
5. INTL
6. SK
7. ON
8. QC
9. INTL
10. NS
11. ON

The guy from Thunder Bay Tourism said they've been working with production for three years - this confirms past spec about how closely they work with communities who host legs. They don't just happen, especially when local sponsors become involved.

But do you think it's for every communities? I kind of understand cities like Thunder Bay / Sudbury having to work with them in advance, because it's kinda remote. I feel like maybe the Waterloo Kitchener leg was a last minute replacement.

I'm sure larger communities like K-W have put in major work attracting TARC through their Tourism Boards as well. Unless there is a production list of pre-set replacement locations in case of emergencies, I just don't see anything being truly last minute here. I think the stage was set for an all domestic route as soon as they got the green light for season 7. I think it was budget and the inability to attract an international sponsor(s).

I'm sure they skipped the internationals because of the sponsored cities of both Ontario & British Columbia. I like it All-Canadian cities because for some who are first time tourists like us, then we can travel to different cities shown in every season of TARC.

I think it means "international," referring to an international leg (a leg taking place and being run outside of Canada).

Unfortunately, I don't believe we have any evidence for an international leg.

I'm not sure if this is fake, but I guess Wikipedia says TARCAN 7 is going to Mississippi?

Is there a Canada connection they can make a big deal of in Mississippi? If not, then that would make it even more unlikely

If TARCAN ever raced in the States, then they'd hit up Honolulu and Albuquerque before the likes of that craphole.

It's gone now, already removed by a proper Wikipedia editor, for the information being unsourced.

It's funny how in the first teams's video, they don't really talk about the 'second chance' aspect of their lives... maybe they decided not to go with the theme anymore?
I was sure they would put it in the title like they did with : Heroes edition.

So far I really like the Sisters! I think the two couples are also going to be interesting to watch!

I would say the second chance theme fits only Jet and Dave?

Pretty sure they casted the most interesting teams and scrapped the theme.

No specific theme or subtitle in promo material. I checked last year's teaser promo featuring Jon, and if featured the "Heroes Edition" tagline from the get go, so it seems no specific theme for the season at all, which I still think may be for the best.

FYI, the last mention of "Second Chance" in a Bell Media press release was the announcement of the Canada's Choice fan vote, March 21st.

"The Canada’s Choice team won’t be the only ones looking for a second chance on THE AMAZING RACE CANADA. They’ll be joined by a group of new racers who have overcome challenges and faced reinventions and transformations. Now, they’ll all have the opportunity to experience the race of a lifetime."

No, we don't.  At least not yet.  We just know that they are, for sure, the first two teams to go.

So much for the short-lived Triple Express Pass.
