I don't believe we have Quebec listed as a leg??

Did I miss something?

From the way I'm seeing things as of now (and this might be incorrect on my part), we had great sightings in Kitchener-Waterloo and then radio silence for a couple of days, and now we have hints about Quebec City and/or Charlevoix. I think this is where people are jumping to the (possibly correct or incorrect) assumption of a Quebec leg.

To throw my two cents in, Ontario and Quebec are currently having some serious flooding right now, so maybe the two day break was weather related? Although this is complete spec on my part.

Ideas on where they maybe went for the leg in Charlevoix: (to check on insta/twitter/facebook)

- Fairmont Manoir Richelieu (very nice hotel)
- Galerie l'Harmattan INC (art gallery)
- Corporation des métiers d'Art en Charlevoix (Art public market/store)
- Poterie de Port-au-Persil  (pottery making place)
- Musée de Charlevoix (Museum)
- Casino de Charlevoix

This is a good site for ideas: https://www.tourisme-charlevoix.com/en/

There is also a lot of trails. I'm happy they did a leg there, it's a nice area, and it changes from the same Quebec city/Montreal legs in Quebec

We have no evidence for Quebec being a leg.

It is POSSIBLE that today could be a KOR day...so stay alert for sightings please!

And moving forward...I don't think there is much room for an International leg.

Finale is fast approaching!

Yesterday was 8th leg with 6 teams racing, no? So there is no place for NEL/KOR then.

Maybe just a quick departure today... but no sightings?  Not sure they have time to stay holed up until tomorrow...???

So you think the leg would start tomorrow?
The question is: if the leg yesterday was in Charlevoix, why would they drive to Quebec city to park at la gare du palais, then take a taxi to an overnight stop or hotel, then wait one extra day, and then start leg 9 tomorrow. Why not sleep in Charlevoix, there is plenty of hotels there... I'm confused

We have no evidence for Quebec being a leg.

That does raise the question: what are they doing in Charlevoix if there wasn’t a leg there?

I'm guessing Chavoix/St. Joseph was a leg but due to the weather in the area, they had teams drive to Quebec for the remainder of the pitstop.  It's as best as I can put it.

True. It's an hour NE of Quebec City, they're not going to gallivant that far out of the way for nothing.

I'm confused now :P

But then why make the teams drive themselves to the train station? Why not to the hotel?
My best guest was that teams had to sign up to a Train or a bus leaving today or tomorrow! So that would just make tt the start of leg 9, but not a leg in quebec city

So based on new sightings, boot order looks like this so far:

9th/10th - Jet & Dave/afrocanadian FF
8th - red MM
7th - twins FF
6th - ???
F5 - James & Anthony, Sam & Sarah and 3 unknown teams

My idea of Thunder Bay in pre-race plan was right. A small Ontarioan city has been overdue in years. What a relieve.

Are we 100% sure it's 5 teams?
5 cars doesn't mean 5 teams, at starting line we sometime have an extra car...
I'm just asking because I don't understand how there would still be 5 teams left lol

We know for 100%:
Leg 1: Kamloops, Elimination
Leg 2: Revelstoke, Elimination

Leg 3: Edmonton. At the start of the leg 8 teams are left leaving Kamloops for Vancouver
Could Edmonton and Yellowknife be one leg?
Leg 4: Yellowknife
Leg 5: Coombs/Nanaimo
Leg 6: Saskatoon
Leg 7: Waterloo/Kitchener
Leg 8: Charlevoix
Leg 9?

If there is 5 teams left, then Thunder bay is leg 9. But Charlevoix was May 8, have we ever had 4 days without nothing?

Also what's up with having teams drive from Charlevoix to Quebec city, but wait there for 4 days? I think we have a missing leg between Charlevoix and Thunderbay. But that would make Thunder bay the final 4 and not 5...

Leg 3 = first non-elimination or To-Be-Continued
Leg 4 = F8 boot
Leg 5 = second non-elimination or To-Be-Continued
Leg 6 = F7 boot
Leg 7 = third non-elimination or To-Be-Continued
Leg 8 = F6 boot
Leg 9 = F5 boot
Leg 10 = F4 boot
Leg 11 = Finale

Yes! But do you think Thunder Bay is leg 9 or 10?

The former: it's too early for the latter, given the extra eleventh leg compared to the very first season.

If they went to the Sleeping Giant, sounds like some rock climbing/rappelling on this leg.

I've been to Thunder Bay twice. Kakabeka Falls, the Sleeping Giant access road (it's a long narrow strip) and the Terry Fox Monument (it's on a hill above the place where the cancer forced him to stop) are all on the Trans Canada Highway.

The monument and then Sleeping Giant going east. The article said these were first.

Kakabeka's about 20 km west out of the city.

Several other places they could have stopped: Fort William Historical Park, Mount McKay Lookout. I believe there is also an Art Gallery devoted to First Nations art.

From Thunder Bay do you think they would go to Manitoba the up north for the finish or do you think they will go straight to the east coast from Thunder Bay? I would be shocked if there was no east coast!

This must be final 5 so then we get our last Jon “lives” during the final 4 leg then finale and they must be following last years schedule of Filming so we might be getting another Victoria Day weekend finale

I wouldn't rely on the Jon on the Road videos. Those have been posted a day or two after they leave a filming location. Also, TARC has had five vehicles waiting for four teams during penultimate legs. So five cars does not automatically mean five teams.

Penultimate's either a Labrador debut or a Nunavut revisit in preparation for a Halifax finale.

Well there we’re 6 teams spotted in Quebec or wherever they want, they probably just took an extended pitstop

Those additional 4 photos posted by TBNewswatch at Kakabeka Falls...is that the pitstop? Outside Kakabeka Provincial Park, Visitor's Centre? "Park Stor"

+ image from Google maps for comparison.
