Looking at Narita flights, there are flights into standard large metropolises in Asia such as Shanghai, HCMC, Bangkok, Guangzhou etc. There is also a flight into Guam...

They are staying in Tokyo. Several bought Guidebooks. So at least a leg! But then...

Another Tokyo night leg ... right after the last one lol

Tokyo's great, but it would be awesome if they immediately speed off on a train to somewhere else in Japan.

Bummer that we didn't get an open start.. I know they were planning on having one. Peach, do you know why it got scrapped? Also are there any videos of the starting line?

Well, I usually like Japanese legs, and we haven't had a visit since S26, so I'm optimistic. The last legs there were pretty trash though, but a night leg seems promising.
I would also be happy if they only flew to Tokyo to get a train/bus to another city, but that doesn't seem that likely.

Does anyone have any Art & JJ sightings? That's by far the weirdest of the TAR returnee choices. Maybe there was a starting line elimination like the last time there were 12 teams.

Phew! Teams are all on board the flight and on their way!

From what I saw:
Colin/Christie- Teal
Rupert/Laura- Tie-Dye
Tyler/Korey- Black
Chris/Bret- Green
Corinne/Eliza- Pink
Victor/Nicole- Purple
Leo/Jamal- Maroon
Becca/Floyd- Orange
Rachel/Elissa- looked Plum from a distance def Lime/Neon Green- packs are purple-y plum
Brittany/Janelle- Light Blue Def Gray :groan: def added the color in my head
Art/JJ- unknown to me saw lighter blue bandanas on their packs (Chateau’s live video)

Peach has my pics, and will upload them soon, as for me, it’s time to eat!

So Chris and Brett were false?
Edit: I'm stupid, I thought 5 + 3 + 3 was 12.

I don't think those are caps, I think that's their hair.

The mention of an "Extreme Roadblock" twist leads me to think this would be a roadblock where each team member has to perform the same roadblock or each has to perform one or another of two roadblocks simultaneously, depending on if it is just for one team or all teams.

Is it possible there's only a Route Marker in Tokyo and that clue tells teams to take a train somewhere else? I assume the Starting Line clue only tells them where to go once they arrive in Tokyo. So the teams assume a full Leg in Tokyo not knowing they're not staying there?  :duno:

Yes that is correct.

This is total spec no evidence at all but: 2 legs in Japan, fly out of Narita on Wednesday for PNG (direct flight there)

Yeah, well, I think that definitely cannot be ruled out, but it's more wishful thinking on our part, and we are likely just getting a Tokyo leg. ;D

I'm thinking we could get another leg 1 non-elim to keep all teams in.

There's already a precedent for the former:

So that "new" Extreme-RB twist sounds like the Norwegian edition's Handicap, a.k.a. the "Speed Bump" for Tanner/Josh.
