I look forward to the end of episode 4 preview, to see if Indonesia was 2 legs or they completely slipped a country past us again like Thailand last year.

I would not be shocked if we get Bali, Singapore, or Malaysia!!

Guess those were blueberry pies they ate in leg 3, then, based on the title.

^^^ I think they were in Indonesia for an extended period? And there is some speculation (myself included) that the Stratford/Toronto sightings are some kind of superleg - they were filmed the same day. A very long day. Previous seasons KORs are filmed over two days - even S4's Hamilton/Kingston KOR was 2 days. I just remember we were very confused with the sightings Indonesia vs the Stratford/Toronto legs. But I guess we'll find out soon enough.

My guess is

-Stratford RB
-Toronto Detour + U Turn + RI + Pitstop

Wow!

I think Stratford sightings were the paddleboats; the candy store; and Avon Theatre. Toronto was Dundas Square and Detour/2x UTurn???
I had the explanation for the legs all set in my mind. Now I'm not so sure.  :groan:
Indonesia's such a long way to go for just one leg and they usually have a two-leg international block.  :duno:

Hypothetical tasks for the leg after next based on TARCAN's willingness to avoid merely rehashing challenges from the original:

Face-Off: defeat another team in a pencak silat tournament

Route Info: search through hundreds of women in kebaya for one of eight with the pancasila symbol

Roadblock: earn 50,000 rupiah from cooking and selling tempeh

Detour: perform to an audience's satisfaction as part of a wayang troupe or decode one of Matahari's secret messages written in Javanese script

The preview looks like a splice between TARA1's serpent RB (possibly even in the same zoo) and All-Stars' batik making.

Looks like Indonesia is only going to be one leg.

Quote
Producers had to arrange visas and fly the eight remaining teams, camera and sound crews, director Rob Brunner and host Jon Montgomery approximately 30,000 kilometres there and back for the single episode, which will air Tuesday.

http://www.capebretonpost.com/living/producer-explains-effort-it-takes-to-fly-amazing-race-canada-contestants-abroad-227700/

Guess that solves the mystery of Stratford/Toronto, then. It WAS 2 legs, surely a KOR.

The phrasing is still ambiguous enough to maintain that second leg in Yogyakarta.

I think that

there and back for the single episode
seems pretty conclusive for just ONE episode, right?

Disagreed because the wording doesn't rule out a visit to another one-leg country like last season.

There and back was good enough for Bilbo, it's good enough for TARC.
I may think it ridiculous they did this for a single episode, but I'm convinced they did it now. An extended pitstop accounting for the delay in filming, and a KOR between Stratford and Toronto.

The second leg in Indonesia is definitely ruled out for now. I agree with Maanca and WindsorSue for the two Ontario legs.

It can't be helped, I suppose - and something similar happened later for MXC, eh?

I do wonder if the lack of either Air Canada, Hotels.com and even Sinorama as sponsors this season are partially responsible for this shift, as it seems to lack tourism field sponsor with this season.

Might this season be TARCAN's first to have three Double U-Turns a la the Strangers' Edition?

I wonder because of two particularly strong teams leaving before the finale just like the Holtbys did.

The Episode 5 Sneak Peek is already up on YouTube. They have to find where the Chevrolet Equinox is assembled in Ingersoll, Ontario. Which is 30 miles south of Stratford.

Some teams then mention Oshawa, which has to be wrong because that's nowhere close (2 hours in the other direction)

I wonder what will happen to Leann & Marr to be eliminated at 6th place. They performed very well so far.

I am also kinda suprised how bad are Courtney and Adam doing placement wise, because on paper, they seems like TARCAN version of Dave & Rachel, lol.

Leanne & Mar, Nancy & Mellisa, Courtney & Adam and Zainab & Monica head east to Oshawa. At BEST, they're going to be 90 minutes behind Taylor and Courtney, Martina & Phil and Dylan & Kwame who go west to Ingersoll.

That's the beauty of the Amazing Race... You can do good in every leg, but all it takes is one bad leg and you are gone!

I don't think they will be THAT much behind, as it's late in the evening/night and they will most probably find an HoO in Ingersoll for the next morning...
