The final leg couldn't be in Quebec, though. That would be 3 years in a row.

Seriously, Occam's Razor says QC for the penultimate leg and then either major AB city for the finale.

All of Canada's provincial and territorial capitals are now complete in every leg of TAR Canada.

I'm now starting to think that Halifax will be the finale city, although it is weird for all maritime provinces to be visited. Finale's have usually been near the penultimate leg and most seasons have the first leg start off in a certain side of Canada and end on the other side of Canada.
Season 1: British Columbia - Ontario
Season 2: British Columbia - Ontario
Season 3: Ontario - British Columbia
Season 4: Alberta - Quebec
Season 5: British Columbia - Quebec
Halifax also has a very notable military history which would fit the theme of heroes edition.

Fredericton :D So finally, 3 seasons after the rest, the last provincial capital gets its day.

Yay  :conf:  :conf:

I'm really happy Fredericton gets a visit

But a little sad because this means Quebec will likely be skipped...I don't really understand why because it's the biggest province will soooo many different place to visit, and being a french area brings an extra level of difficulty for most teams.

I doubt the finale will be here, because we just had 2 in a row....

In this instagram post, we have team 7 running, but there seems to be a team in the background, tall person in red, team 5?

Maybe it's something like that task in London TAR25. They have to perform like the guards do.

Agreed. It's definitely another team - they have their own crew.

Maybe they had to "inspect the guards." List the things that were wrong?

1: Newfoundland -> Toronto
2: NB -> Ottawa
3: Edmonton -> Lower Mainland
4: NB -> Montreal
5: SSM -> QC City

Just odd to snub the entirety of both Alberta and Quebec.

Here's a location possibility if they go out of the city:

Fredericton is located not far from the well-known CFB Gagetown. With this being a "Heroes Edition"...

Yeah i would be weird to skip two major provinces, but the last two season routes have been pretty unpredictable.

Certainly last year's choice of destinations, if somewhat less so for Season 4: Calgary had yet to get a full leg, Northern BC was the last major unexplored region, and MTL fit the pattern of big city finales.

So next year might compensate by devoting two episodes to AB and another pair to QC.

As for the Final Memory Challenge, perhaps it's matching the feats of national heroes to the dates when they happened?

There would then be the option to bypass acknowledgement of the international destinations like last year's.

Finale Leg could be Prine Edward Island-Quebec-Alberta?  :duno:

VERY unlucky, but still...

From Caper's live post, we know the f4 is 5/6/7/8....
So sad to have the 3 F/F go out back to back...  :groan:

Hope team 6 makes it to the final, they look a bit different from the generic boring couple

Wonder where the finale's going to be. Unless they're totally going for 3 consecutive years, it won't be in Quebec again. So the first time without that province.

Maybe Nova Scotia and it will be the first time in TAR Canada that is going to end the leg in Atlantic Canada. Halifax is way better for a final city.

They haven't been to Peggy's Cove yet, a beautiful backdrop for a final pitstop!

Yup and by the description of the guy, it looked like a detour: team 6/7 did the flight simulator and 5/8 did the more physical one!

They also stopped by a base in Winnipeg, no? That would make the second military in the same season

But a clear shot for an M/F to take the title which is welcome because TARCan still has not had an M/F winner.
