Well logistically, China, Japan even Korea are just the most convenient and/or cheapest out of Asia back to the US.

But South America>Africa/Europe>Asia is pretty tired and worn out after 4 seasons. Knowing they'll likely use Asia for the chaotic urban Leg(s), it's always great to have more teams than less for those.

I think potential countries for the westward route include Fiji, Australia, South Africa, Portugal, Spain and England.

I think potential countries for the eastward route include Ireland, England, Sweden, Finland, India, Cambodia, Australia and Fiji.

I do believe that the westward route is the most likely route, due to TAR going to the eastward route, for the past few seasons :)

IN CLAUDE"S OPINION:

If the race should get a Westward route for this time, Colombia COULD be the penultimate leg for the race. If Westward route is selected, the race could give Oceania>Asia>Africa>Europe>South America for this season.

The potential countries for the said route above COULD POSSIBLY  include Australia, Japan, Taiwan, Malaysia, South Africa, Sweden, Latvia, Spain and Colombia.

Since the latest season finally skipped Southern California, I fully expect the Starting Line to be in the L.A. area and for San Diego to make its debut as a Finale City.

In addition, the last visit to a German-speaking destination was Blind Date Edition, Social Media Edition not counting as it was only in the Francophone part of Switzerland. So probably one leg in Germanic Switzerland, another in Austria, and a third in Germany proper.

The last season ended in Southern California.

The last season ended in Southern California.
Last time I checked, San Francisco/Oakland and the Bay Area were not considered part of Southern California, but northern California.

LA Starting Line and flying out of LAX is just cheaper and easier. Especially with TAR's obviously lower budget now than in the good ol' days. Just save the money from a non-LA Starting Line and use it elsewhere on the Race, or even on the Final Leg which is more important in having a non-LA, fresh location.

They've never visited Australia during its cold season - the closest was that New Zealand leg with Keoghan's dad as the greeter and even that was only autumn and in the subtropical North Island.

Imagine these BB/Survivor teams having to navigate a Tasmanian winter and/or a sleeting Melbourne.

In my opinion, there are many places in LA Area for a starting line location. Palmdale, San Bernardino, Ontario, Glendale, Anaheim and Oxnard are the better locations.

In my opinion, the race hasn't visited North Queensland since TAR 4 and Cairns is the right one to have a chance for revisit. NorQld is a tentative alternate for Tasmania with a warm weather.

Yes, there's definitely plenty of great locations in the LA area to allow for an LAX departure. Especially if they're not going to do a Starting Line task anyway, they can just pick a nice picturesque spot and go.  :hfive:

Get the racers to come to Melbourne, when there is no rain forecast and watch them complain about waiting for a tram at Bourke Street Mall, WHEN NO TRAMS COME!!!  :funny: (I found this out last year, NOT FUN!)

Seriously, Melbourne's weather is HORRIBLE!!!  :funny: We have 4 seasons in one day in winter, hehe.

And don't say it gets cold here! 38 degree Farenheit night last night!

Tasmania during winter. Those poor Racers...

If TAR comes to Melbourne, possible locations include the Melbourne Cricket Ground and Punt Road Oval (for a Cricket/AFL Detour), Queen Victoria Market (for a marked Roadblock), Bourke Street Mall (busking Active Route Info) and Old Melbourne Gaol/Etihad Stadium for a Pit Stop.

Depending on the filming and airing, Etihad Stadium, will be known as MARVEL STADIUM, from September 1. This is why I think Etihad Stadium won't be visited as a location on TAR, due to it being too hard, as the AFL are just idiots...  :groan:

Other possible locations include Flinders Street Station, Federation Square, National Art Gallery of Victoria, Immigration Museum, Parliament House, Birrarung Marr and AAMI Park

I am going to predict/speculate a route similar to TAR24, just because of the chaos TMZ has caused. Its also time for a westward route...

Long overdue Leafsfan. The last one was 26 - 4 seasons ago.

Other than continually insisting that the Race "starts" in Papua New Guinea (lol), I don't think TMZ has "leaked" any other destinations?

If that leg is cancelled it probably caused a chain reaction...

The last one was 26 - 4 seasons ago.

29 broke at least three established patterns with its crappy route: zero new countries, third consecutive season going in the same eastward direction, and fourth consecutive season to visit Latin America.

30 corrected two of those errors, but seeing as it too went left to right across the globe, what's to stop 31's first leg from being somewhere like Ecuador or Bolivia?

The last season ended in Southern California.

As an SF Bay native, I’m offended by this

But yeah, SF is NorCal (~6hrs North of LA)

Let's keep in mind that with the Russia World Cup happening, there's no way we'll have a visit there.

But PLEASE  take a minute here and reread the TMZ posts....

and then REALLY consider whether or not to EVER believe their so call reveals again!

Very irresponsible journalism in my opinion.
