Below was the non-stop/direct flight from Hong Kong back to US. (24 October) I only list out some of the arrival time that touch down around morning and early afternoon time.

I think the case of Phil and production take 23 October flight, and the F3 teams take 24 October flight are more likely to happen.

HKG-LAX
00:05 CX880
12:55 CX884 %%%%%% -11:00 arrival
16:35 CX882
18:10 AA192

HKG-SFO
00:30 CX872
11:15 UA862 %%%%%% -09:00 arrival
14:15 CX870 %%%%%% -11:50 arrival
23:30 SQ2

HKG-SEA
10:35 DL38 %%%%%% -08:05 arrival

HKG-JFK
00:30 CX888 (with 1 hour and a half stop in Vancouver) %%%%%% -07:00 arrival
09:15 CX830 %%%%%% -13:10 arrival
16:10 CX840
18:45 CX876

HKG-EWR
10:25 UA180 %%%%%% -13:55 arrival

HKG-ORD
11:40 UA896 %%%%%% -13:35 arrival

HKG-DFW
14:30 AA126

HKG-BOS
18:15 CX812

Boston and Dallas are gonna ruled out since the arrival time was around nighttime. Chicago might ruled out as well since the last season final leg went there.

I think they would held the final leg somewhere around west coast with high chance happen in Los Angeles, San Francisco, or Seattle.

I hope a full Seattle final leg happen on this season after the last season gave us a final leg that fully featured in Chicago.

TAR 25 was the last season that the final teams took the connecting flight from Manila to LA via Tokyo as teams did not choose Philippine Airlines direct flight to LA. Here's the option from Hong Kong to Honolulu flight:

HKG-HNL (October 24):

Via Shanghai-Pudong
China Eastern Airlines (MU) 502 1250-1510
China Eastern Airlines (MU) 571 1715-0810

Via Manila
Philippine Airlines (PR) 319 1320-1545
Philippine Airlines (PR) 100 1730-0955: This flight flies four times a week

Via Tokyo-Haneda
All Nippon Airways (NH) 860 1430-1940
All Nippon Airways (NH) 186 2155-1040

Via Seoul-Incheon
Korean Air (KE) 614 1405-1845
Korean Air (KE) 53 2150-1050

Phil and production crew will take the earlier flight via Tokyo-Narita right behind the teams would leave Hong Kong and arrive at the same morning around 7 am-ish Hawaii time (UTC-10).

Arrival will be the same day.

Unless they got help from NASA, there's no way teams could have gotten from Hong Kong to Portland, ME in 12 hours or so.

he said they didn't resemble any of the teams, so may just be a red herring or B roll before they land??? Or unrelated altogether.

Just my thought, but is it probably that the Finish Line location is a private property owned by someone that the owner doesn't want his/her personal property to be revealed to others?

I don't know if it's the same case, but it's like when Season 15's Finish Line was Wayne Newton's home 'Casa de Shenandoah'.

On the fence about knowing the finish line location.  The RFF team did such a good job at lead-in spoilers that it is a lot of fun to speculate where the race ended. Wonder if the location identifies an unknown final task, and slight fear the actual might then disappoint.

But first,

wouldn't it be fun if the finish line was the San Francisco Mint?  Historically survived the 1906 earthquake, and pun-fully ironic.

Interesting idea. They did go to San Francisco Mint in one of the earlier visits. It might be a bit of a switchback if they went there. It's not far from City Hall, so I doubt they would need taxis. However, it doesn't quite fit the descriptions given about the final location , so I doubt that's the place they went.

One more then -  Washington Square Park.   The historic 30 race begins and ends in the same "named" location on opposite USA coasts.

I really like that idea too. However, Washington Square Park is pretty wide open. The description of the final location sounded like it was enclosed and hard to see into with only one way in. That doesn't sound like Washington Square Park unless they put up big barriers around an entire city block. Not impossible, but I think it would have generated some comments from the public.
