Two legs or one HOO is quite possible.

Theories on within confusions. Remember the TAR22 leg mixup confusion of "two" legs in Hanoi?

Option A (standard 12-leg race):
Leg 1: Reykjavík, Iceland
Leg 2: Antwerp, Belgium
Leg 3: Tangier, Morocco
Leg 4: Saint-Tropez, France
Leg 5: Arles, France
Leg 6: Prague, Czech Republic
Leg 7: Harare, Zimbabwe
Leg 8: Manama, Bahrain
Leg 9: Chiang Mai, Thailand
Leg 10: Geelong/Port Campbell, Australia
Leg 11: Melbourne, Australia
Leg 12: Los Angeles, USA

Option B (speculated version):
Leg 1: Reykjavík, Iceland
Leg 2: Antwerp, Belgium
Leg 3: Tangier, Morocco
Leg 4: Saint-Tropez, France
Leg 5: Arles, France
Leg 6: Prague, Czech Republic
Leg 7: Harare, Zimbabwe
Leg 8: Harare, Zimbabwe
Leg 9: Manama, Bahrain
Leg 10: Chiang Mai, Thailand
Leg 11: Geelong/Port Campbell, Australia
Leg 12: Melbourne, Australia
Leg 13: Los Angeles, USA

The second option below remains possibly speculative.

San Jose has direct flights from Taipei now *crosses fingers*

This, or San Diego at the very least if San Francisco is somehow untenable.

Constantly, Taiwan and China have speak the same language and I am so tired with Greater China area many times. Let's move on to Thailand and then 2 legs in Australia.

Claude, I would also think Geelong would host a second leg in Victoria, not Port Campbell, because Geelong is Victoria's second biggest city :)

I'm interested to see where we go. We've had nine legs but have only travelled around 1/3 of the world.

My perfect ending.
But pretty sure Taiwan needs to be in there somewhere. Wouldn't a 13 leg race be AMAZING??

Yes please. Cheers to that! We definitely need a high-altitude leg. Nepal would suit that obviously.

Absolutely. Leg 13 will be cherry on the cake. Taiwan is perfect asian country for that!
TAR should explore more countries. Except 30-40 odd troublesome nations, there are good 150 nations yet unexplored.

What about New Zealand?

Phil mentioned in an interview the number 30, a lovely number.
The Amazing Race is hosted by New Zealander Phil Keoghan.
The average length of each race is approximately 25 to 30 days.

Is there something special planned in New Zealand?

We don't know, and if somebody here knew for sure that a country was planned to be visited later in the race, they would not reveal it, as it bears the danger of that leg being cancelled. (Has happened in the past, if I'm correct..?)

But from personal wishlist standpoint, I would LOVE New Zealand! Last visited 8 seasons ago and it's a stunning place. However, Australia hasn't had a visit in 12 seasons, so I don't know which one I would prefer tbh. :)

IMO, Bahrain is likely to be leg 9 with only 5 teams left
I don't think they will do a 13-leg race again after dropping out for 19 seasons
The most reasonable choice to me for visiting Oceania will either be Fiji or Guam

Agreed, yet a Taipei threepeat is strangely tolerable given that both previous visits were during the summer as opposed to autumn.

Thailand is more possibie after Bahrain. Thinking of Australia for the final country, one of which is a penultimate leg. Japan is threat for now on typhoon hit areas.

Enough of East Asia penultimate legs after having done in three consecutive previous seasons. (HK/Macau, China, Korea). Move on for Australia and hasn't visited since TAR 18. Australia once hosted a penultimate leg since season 4 and its spring there.

It is time to look for Down Under penultimate leg before heading back to the US.

Four states and one territory of Australia visited the American edition. Victoria has never visited before.

It would be awesome to visit Nepal finally. But only one Leg for what would likely be TAR's only ever visit? That would be a waste of an opportunity.
There's certainly 2 Legs waiting in Nepal: an urban Kathmandu and surrounding cities Leg and then a more sceninc, rural Himalayan-themed Leg. It'd be more ideal to have Nepal on an LA > Oceania > Asia, westward route with it coming around Leg 5 or 6. :)

Crosing my fingers for NEPAL! :hoot: Considering how rarely they film TAR in October, it would be such a missed opportunity if they don't go there!

A question about the possibility of Nepal. Would it be reasonable to expect the teams to perform physical tasks there without time to acclimate to the altitude? Would acclimation time rule out the use of Nepal?

Nepal looks very unlikely right now and has to be getting ruled out. With only one major international airport in Kathmandu, flights are bound to Australia is making two connections with a total of over 20-36 hour flight travel.

Well, TAR13 went to La Paz, Bolivia, that is located at 3.600 meters (11.000 feet) above the level of the sea and they did some physical task - marching with a band, riding a bike, fighting with the "cholitas" in a ring -.

I mean we have couples of high altitude leg before so it would not be a big issue. However I don't think we'll visit Nepal this time simply because we're just have 2 legs left before getting back to US (LA most likely) for final leg and Nepal was not feasible to host as penultimate leg logistic wise. I think the next 2 legs would be somewhere at Southeast/East Aisa or Australia.

I don't really see high hopes for Australia to be visited.. Considering we only have one leg of Asia
